The Friends of the Hall County Library held their annual murder mystery dinner theater on April 22-23, 2016. The theme for this year’s event was
“Murder on the Battery.” Cast members included Killian Edwards, Kathy
Evans, Rex Evans, Drew Ferguson, Jeanne Hozak, Kevin Ivey, Kimberly
Jones, Scott Jones, Leah Long, Sherry McAdams, Flowery Branch Mayor Mike
Miller, Nichole Rawlings, and Bill Wilson. The play was directed by Virginia
Hale, Vice-President of Friends. Many thanks go to these individuals as well

FROM OUR DIRECTOR
Dear Patron,
Summer is coming, and school will soon be out. For many
people summer is a time for relaxing and taking it easy.
However, that is not the case in public libraries. Thanks to the
popularity of our Summer Reading Program, summer is by far
our busiest time of the year. Because of support from the
Friends of the Hall County Library, LSTA grant funds, and many
local business sponsors such as INK, Texas Roadhouse,
Wendy’s, The Great American Cookie Company, and Skate
Country, we are able to offer exciting and free programs for all
ages to encourage reading for everyone.
This year, we will be hosting storytellers, magicians, puppeteers,
and other exciting performers for our younger patrons. We will
also be offering our first STEM week. There will be fun events
planned by and geared toward teens including “Chocolate
Olympics” and an end of summer laser tag party. Adults are
not left out; they can enter to win fun prizes by reading for
pleasure while attending exciting programs.
Hope all you adults will stop by this summer to Exercise Your
Mind.
