Wallingford Land Trust
Do you love activities in the outdoors and want to share it with
others? Do you share the interest in preserving Wallingford’s open
space for all to enjoy? Come take a walk on one of the scenic
Wallingford Land Trust trials with your family or friends. The
Wallingford Land Trust, Inc., which was first formed by concerned
citizens in 1976, is a non profit organization dedicated to the
preservation of the natural habitats and areas of scenic beauty
in Wallingford. The Land Trust accomplishes this by acquiring
properties and maintaining them as open space for passive
recreational use by the public. Today the WLT manages fourteen
properties, covering more than 200 acres. One of our gem
properties is the Orchard Glen/Spruce Glen property, off of Barnes
Park Rd. North. This scenic property offers a trail for you to enjoy
that leads to a waterfall. You can download and print maps to
all WLT properties at their website at: www.wallingfordlandtrust.
org. The WLT is always seeking people to serve on the board of
directors to help manage these properties and the WLT activities.
We welcome you to join us at monthly meetings, which are
always informal. Perhaps you choose to support them by taking
out a membership, which gives you a voting right at their annual
meetings. You can print out the membership application from their
