St Luke’s Hospice
Kenton Grange,
Kenton Road, Harrow , Middlesex
HA3 0YG
Registered Charity No. 298555
Many local
organisations, clubs and
families are supporting
our Summer Appeal
campaign and we have
planted a beautiful
daisy at the hospice in
recognition of their
support. The funds raised will help fund our Single Point of Access service
which gives people a single number they can call 24 hours a day for end of
life care advice and support. Our rapid response team can also give
emergency care at home. Over 100 daisies have been planted at the hospice
so far. Donate at www.stlukes-hospice.org/appeal2016

23 teams of budding golfers played 18 holes of golf on the stunning 'high
course' at Moor Park Golf Club on Monday 4 July. Competition was close but
the Gold Sections home team managed to get in 1st place, followed by Team
Abbotts in 2nd, and The Terriers in 3rd place. Over 100 people also joined the
delicious celebratory dinner on the night.
Over £12,000 was raised and we would like to give special thanks to Moor
Park Golf Club and their members and the volunteers from Barclays for their
support of the event.
Summer Proms raise over £13,000!
Our Summer Proms Series took place over the
course of July and hundreds of spectators enjoyed
breathtaking concerts ranging from the traditional
proms celebration, to jazz, opera, the BBC Elstree
Concert Band and the world renowned, Leonore
Piano Trio.
Concert goer, Robert attended one concert and
says, ‘This event was a treat from start to finish.
Guests were greeted and directed to their seats by
dedicated and attentive St Luke’s Hospice volunteers. The music was performed to an amazingly high
standard. Those fortunate to attend were given an evening to remember.’

FUNDRAISING EVENTS
Do you have an item money can’t buy?
We are looking for fabulous auction prizes for our Winter
Ball event in November as much of the money we raise
comes from the auction on the night. Do you have an
item or experience you could donate to help raise vital
funds for hospice care? You could give a famous signed
photograph, a holiday home for a weekend, a private tour
of a football stadium, a dining experience cooked by a
Michelin star chef and much more.
If you or your organisation can help or would like to
attend the event, contact Nicole Silver at
nicoles@stlukes-hospice.org or 020 8382 8063.

The Kutch Madhapar Karyalaya (KMK) UK raise £20,000 for St Luke’s!
Members of a local Asian community, KMK organised
a successful Casino Royale dinner and dance event in
aid of St Luke’s and raised a tremendous £20,000.
People enjoyed a 3-course meal and music at VIP
Lounge in Edgware. We would like to give a huge
thank you to the KMK committee for all their work in
arranging this fantastic event. The funds could
enable our doctors and nurses to visit 320 homes,
allowing local people to access hospice care in the
comfort of their own homes.
Rock Choir Summer Showcase
supports St Luke’s
The Walk, Talk, Friends group
raise £700!
Simon Reynold’s Rock Choir members from
Rickmansworth, Borehamwood, Stanmore and
Northwood and Pinner took to the stage at their
summer show spectacular at Harrow Arts Centre in
July. There was a collection for St Luke’s at the concert
which raised over £160 for the hospice. A big thank
you to everyone for their support.
9 keen walkers put on their pink t-shirts and
pink lipstick for an evening walk starting at
6.30pm on Monday 20 June. The ladies had
organised this walk because they were unable
to take part in our annual Midnight Walk event
and they wanted to support the hospice. The
group walked in high spirits on a hot summer
evening and lots of people cheered them
Could you be a shops volunteer?
We are excited to announce that we will be opening a
along on their route. A wonderful £700 has
been collected for St Luke’s.
