The narrow tube layout of the AST Ice Mats produces an energy transferring surface of 2 m² per
m² of ice area. This results in a consistent cooling field as well as a uniform ice surface.
Due to the low-based total construction of the
AST Ice Rink, less water is required. This means
energy savings.
Ideal dimensioning of the refrigeration unit
keeps power requirements at a minimum.
AST EPDM-System
AST Ice Rinks are built according to the Tichelmann System. This guaranties ideal fluid flow
through all of the ice mats and allows a uniform

AST ICE BoXES
The AST Ice Box is constructed from solid, hot-dip
galvanized steel with a grooved pattern aluminum
casing. The PE collection tubing is already permanently integrated in the ice boxes. The collection tubing consists of both flow and return. To these the ice
mats are solidly connected. For transport purposes,
the rolled up ice mats are stored in the ice boxes.
Removable transport hangers enables trouble-free
stacking of the ice boxes for transport and storage.

AST Skateway
The AST Skateway system is a further development of
the AST EPDM ice rink technology, designed specifically to span long distances ice skating paths, straight
or with curves. Since the Skateway ice mats are flexible, it is especially suitable for curves, thus circular
skating rinks can easliy be made. The system includes
special connectors, curved parts, redirectors and end
caps. With these elements, the Skateway ice mats can
be connected quick and easy, still the rink can be extended or reconfigured as desired. Plug and skate!
