There is great excitement in a Bethlehem stable when the
animals realise a new baby has arrived. The cows, sheep,
pigs, cat and cockerel learn about their special guest from
the donkey and other visitors. They realise what a privilege
it is to share their home with the important baby. Perfect for

Of all the sheep in the flock, the smallest, youngest ewe is
the most inquisitive. She is always busy getting under the

Performing A Musical
The performance of a musical to an audience (other than pupils
and staff) requires a performance licence, even if it is a ‘free’
performance. (Please note a Performing Rights Society (PRS) Licence
does NOT cover musicals).
We issue affordable performance licences to schools, churches,
nurseries and other groups.
Purchase an ‘Instant Performance Licence’ when you buy your
book and CD package and it could save you money! This Instant
Licence will cover any number of performances within a specified
time (maximum 12 months from date of purchase.) See product
pages for Instant Licence package prices.
The performance licence will permit the holder to:
Singing Songs In An Assembly
Or In Church
Songs may be sung in assembly without charge. However the
reproduction of the lyrics or musical scores for use in an assembly
or a church requires a licence. The following licences from
Christian Copyright Licensing Limited (www.ccli.com) permit the
photocopying or reproduction of song lyrics or musical scores – for
example to create song sheets, overhead transparencies or to
display the lyrics or music using any electronic display medium:
For UK schools: A CWCL and an CWMRL Licence
For churches: A CCL and MRL Licence
Please ensure that you log the songs that are used on your CWCL
and CWMRL copy report.
· Reproduce the song lyrics on printed paper, e.g. for
programmes, to make transparencies for overhead projection
and to display the lyrics on an interactive whiteboard or other
type of screen. The following credit should be included with the
lyrics: ‘Reproduced by kind permission © Out of the Ark Ltd’
Your CWCL licence also grants you permission to display the song
lyrics from our Words on ScreenTM CD ROMs on a whiteboard
or other screen. Simply log the song titles on your copy report.
Organisations that do not hold one of the above licences should
contact Out of the Ark Limited directly for permission.
· Photocopy the script for learning purposes. Copies must be
destroyed after the performance.
· Make up to 2 photocopies of the music score for use by
participating musicians on the performance dates.
· Play the CD (either backing or vocal tracks) at the performance.

complete the performance licence application form to be found in our
musical and nativity play books, or call Customer Services. NB Prices
printed may be out of date. Please ensure that you are using up to
date contact details.

of your school’s audio or video recording of any of our songs.
File-sharing of any of our audio/backing tracks, CD ROM files,
digital songbooks or MP3 files, is strictly prohibited unless an
‘Extension Licence’ has been purchased, in which case files may
only be shared with the pupils and teachers within your school or
group setting.
Description
When purchasing Words on ScreenTM (WOSTM) products, no
installation is required as this product can be run on your computer
simply by inserting the CD ROM. You are also entitled to install this
product onto the hard drive of a single computer.
To install the CD ROM for any of the Words on ScreenTM titles on two
or more computers or onto the school network on your premises, an
Extension Licence should be purchased for £29.95/€38.95 for each title.
A CCLI Licence (Christian Copyright Licensing Ltd –
www.ccli.co.uk) grants you permission to display the song lyrics
from our Words on Screen™ CD ROMs on a whiteboard or other
screen. Simply log your song titles on your annual copy report.
