Menomonie Theater Guild PO Box 445 Menomonie, WI 54751 55th Season! NonProfit Org. U.S. Postage PAID Permit No. 17. Menomonie, WI MTG: A 55 Year Cultural Impact! Founded in 1958, Menomonie Theater Guild is West Wisconsin’s oldest existing community theater. This well-established organization has not only survived, but has thrived, due to the area’s rich talent pool, emerging as one of the region’s premiere cultural organizations. The artistic and technical capabilities of our volunteers have been entertaining audiences for generations through the production of time-honored classics and innovative new plays. Committed to Our Mission! It is the mission of the Menomonie Theater Guild to produce plays for community enjoyment, to provide dramatic recreation for its participants and to perpetuate and extend the ideals and objectives of community theater. Committed to Community! A true commitment to community theater requires a commitment to the idea of community itself. This refers not only to the geographic community we call home, but also to the sense of camaraderie and shared purpose within the organization itself. Our youth outreach arm, Red Cedar Youth Stage (ReCYS), provides programming for more than 100 students each year. This summer, nearly sixty young people will participate in our “Summer Stage” day camp culminating in performances of BABE: The Sheep Pig in late July. 2013-2014 Season Brochure Our annual Shakespeare in the Park productions in the Wilson Park band shell are free to the public and draw large crowds of all ages. In fact, they were even mentioned in last year’s article in Smithsonian Magazine which featured Menomonie as one of the best small towns in America. Additionally, we actively seek to partner with other local non-profits and arts organizations to create new and innovative opportunities for cooperation and community enhancement to Menomonie, to Dunn County and to the greater Chippewa Valley. Committed to the Mabel Tainter! MTG was founded in part to “encourage the preservation of the Mabel Tainter Memorial Building as an historic, authentic and cultural community.” It’s written right in our by-laws! Our commitment to the crown jewel of downtown Menomonie continues to this day. Over one third of our ticket sales from the last three seasons have been spent in support of this historic treasure. Performing in this inspired space is our joy and privilege. We are proud to help it pursue its mission as we pursue our own. Committed to Tradition & Innovation! Season Subscriptions Offer Flexibility & Savings! MTG offers several season subscription options to maximize your flexibility and savings. And the earlier you order, the greater your potential savings! Plus, you can exchange tickets up until 48 hours prior to curtain time, depending on availability. ($2 exchange fee per ticket applies. Sorry, no refunds.) MAIN STAGE SEASON SUBSCRIPTIONS: Our 2013-2014 Main Stage Season features four remarkable productions that are suitable for all ages! Main Stage Season patrons have four subscription packages from which to choose. TRADITIONS PACKAGE: Select performances for any three of the four 2013-14 productions for just $42. Or be a “Line Jumper” (order by July 9th) and pay just $39, up to a 25% savings! EXPANSION PACKAGE: Select dates for all four shows for just $48! Or be a “Line Jumper” (order by July 9th) and pay just $44, saving 29% or more! And that’s just $5 more for the extra show! FLEX-Pack: Save money even if you can’t commit now to specific performance dates. Each FLEX-Pack contains one voucher for each of the four shows which may be exchanged at our box office when you decide what performance you’d like to attend! Each FLEX-pack is just $54, a 16% savings off regular ticket prices. ReadyPASS: A ReadyPASS subscription differs from traditional season tickets. Instead of picking shows and dates in advance, you pay an annual subscription for a ReadyPASS card. Depending on your level, that card entitles you to a certain number of tickets to ANY MTG PERFORMANCE! ReadyPASS Basic: One ticket per show for named subscriber ReadyPASS Plus: Two tickets per show for named subscriber ReadyPASS Family: Up to FOUR tickets per show, from list of up to six members of immediate household. When you want to attend a performance, simply call the box office within 48 hours of that show, or just come to the theater, and as long as there are seats available for the show, you’ll get tickets...no matter how many times you choose to attend! And ReadyPASS is good for ALL MTG shows including ReCYS and studio series productions! And if that’s not flexible enough for you, you can even arrange to have your subscription charged to your credit card monthly! Prices and packages are listed on your order form. MTG offers a mix of productions, with a mix of classic plays and musicals, and of new and ground breaking shows. We have even produced six original shows in the last four seasons, including last fall’s thriller by Gregory Paules, The Cat of Coultan County, performed in our very own studio. Want to find out if ReadyPASS is right for you? Answer the following: Join us on the Journey! While MTG is able to fund much of our mission through ticket sales, it’s only through generous financial support from loyal patrons like you that we are able to thrive both today and in the years to come. You can help to secure MTG’s cultural commitment for our community by making a membership contribution in addition to your season ticket purchase. With your help, we can guarantee Dunn County has a vibrant performing arts movement for decades to come. And because MTG is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, all or part of your donation may be tax-deductible if you itemize. 1. Do you typically go to almost every MTG or ReCYS show? 2. Do you hate to choose performance dates months in advance? 3. Do you like to see the same show more than once? 4. Do you have a family member who is in one or more shows a year? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, ReadyPASS will likely save you money and make your life easier!!
