Materials:
7 ozs (makes all) Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Cornmeal, Café Latte and Aran, Size 10 crochet thread in
Black and White, size H & 7 crochet hooks or hooks to obtain gauge, needle to take yarn, needle to take crochet
thread, 7” of ¼” wide elastic, 10 small snaps (3 ea outfit & 1 for cap) sewing needle and sewing thread and
small amount of stuffing (fiber fill).
Gauge: 3 hdc sts = 1”, 3 rows hdc = 1”. 3 sc sts = 1”, 4 rows sc = 1-1/4”
Finished Size: Will fit most 12” Baby Dolls
Lion Toy:
With Aran and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch-1, work 12 hdc in ring, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
Rnd 2-4: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
Rnd 5: (Hdc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (6 sts)
Stuff head at this point.
Rnd 6: 2 Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
Rnd 7: (2 hdc next st, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
Rnd 8-10: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
Rnd 11: (Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc next st) around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
Finish stuffing lion at this point.
Rnd 12: (Hdc dec next 2 sts) around, sl st top beg hdc, fasten off.
Arm/Leg:
Rnd 1: With Latte and H hook ch-2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join Aran, fasten off Latte, sl st top beg sc, ch-1,
turn. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: Bk Lp sc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn.
Rnd 3-5: Ssc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 5 fasten off.
-Make 4. Stuff 2 and sew to bottom of lion body. Do not stuff the arms and sew to ea side of the lion at the
shoulders.
Tummy for Lion Toy:
Rnd 1: With Latte and H hook ch-5, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc next 2 ch, 3 sc last ch, turn piece so you are now
working across the bottom of the foundation ch (in bottom of stitches just made), sc next 2, 2 sc last, sl st top
beg sc, fasten off. (10 sts)With needle and yarn sew tummy to lion toy.
Mane:
With needle and Latte yarn make lps randomly over head.
Toy’s Tail:
Row 1: With Aran and H ch-4, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
Row 2-5: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 5 fasten off.
Fold tail on half long way and sew. With Latte and needle make lps randomly at end of tail. Sew other end to
back of lion toy.
Pajamas:
Row 1: With Latte and H hook ch-39, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (38 sts)
Row 2-7: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Rnd 8: Overlap 1st 2 sts with last 2 sts, working through both stitches sc next 2 sts, sc ea st around, sl st top beg
sc, ch-1, turn. (36 sts)
Rnd 9-10: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 10 do not ch.
Rnd 11: Ch-8, count over 18 sts from join, sl st that st, ch-1, turn. Sc next 8 ch, sc next 18 sts (first leg opening
formed), sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (26 sts)
Rnd 12: Sc next 2 sts, (sk next st, sc next 5 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (22 sts)
Rnd 13: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.
Rnd 14: Sc next 2 sts, (sk next st, sc next 4 sts) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)
Rnd 15-25: Rep rnd 13. End rnd 25 fasten off .
Rnd 26: With Latte and H hook join in back of ch from rnd 11, ch-1, sc same ch as beg ch-1, sc next 7 ch, sc
next 18 sts left unworked (forms second leg opening), sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (26 sts)
Rnd 27-40: Rep rnd 12-25. End rnd 40 fasten off.

st as beg ch-1, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. (38 sts)
Row 2: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Row 3: Sc next 13 sts, (sk next st, sc next 3 sts) 3 times, sc last 13 sts, ch-1, turn. (35 sts)
Row 4: Sc next 8 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
Row 5: Sk 1st st, sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. (7 sts)
Row 6-10: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Row 11: Sc next 2 sts, leave remaining sts unworked, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)
Row 12: Sc ea st across, fasten off.

Row 4-6: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
Row 7: Sk 1st st, sc next st, sk next st, sc last st, ch-1, turn. (2 sts)
Row 8: Sk 1st st, sc last st, ch-1, turn. (1 st)
Row 9-32: Sc only st, ch-1, turn.

With needle and yarn sew collar to pajamas.
Pajama Butt Ruffles:
With Cornmeal and H hook ch-16, sl st 5th ch from hook, (ch-6, sl st next ch, ch-4, sl st next ch) across, fasten
off.

Buttons for Pajamas:
With 2 strands Cornmeal make large French knots.
Hat:
With Cornmeal and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch-1, work 12 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (12 sts)
Rnd 2-3: (2 sc next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (18 sts)(27 sts)
Rnd 4-13: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. End rnd 13 fasten off.
Ear:
Row 1: With Cornmeal and H hook ch-6, sc 2nd ch from hook, (hdc, dc) next ch, 3 dc next, (dc, hdc) next, sc
last ch, join Latte, fasten off Cornmeal, ch-1, turn. (9 sts)
Row 2: Sc next 3 sts, 2 sc next 3, sc last 3 sts, fasten off.
-Make 2. With needle and yarn sew one to ea side of hat.
Shoe:
Rnd 1: With Cornmeal yarn and H hook ch-15, sl st to form a ring, ch-1, turn, sc next 4 ch, hdc next ch, 2 dc
next 3 ch, hdc next ch, sc last 4 ch, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (16 sts)
Rnd 2: Sc next 5 sts, (2 sc next st, sc next st) 3 times, sc last 5 sts, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (19 sts)
Rnd 3: With Latte and H hook join in top edge of rnd 1, (ch-6, sl st next st) around, fasten off.
-Make 2.
Sole:
Rnd 1: With Cornmeal yarn and H hook ch-5, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc next ch, (hdc, dc) next ch, 3 trc last ch,
turn piece so you are now working across the bottom of the foundation ch (in bottom of stitches just made), (dc,
hdc) next, sc next, 2 sc last, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (12 sts)
-Make 2. With needle and yarn sew one sole to bottom ea shoe.
