How to test for
PREMIUM Sound

Turn factory radio volume up and down rapidly. If the sound system volume reacts immediately then the system is not PREMIUM. If the sound
system volume does not react immediately but instead has a noticeable delay, the sound system is a Premium Factory amplified system.

The CHYAH05 is designed to allow the replacement of a factory radio with an aftermarket headunit in select late model
Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles. Provides a time saving professional headunit installation while retaining full use of
the factory amplifier and speaker system.
•A
ccessory 12V, parking brake, reverse, parking light and VSS output wires are supplied for full factory integration.
• Auto detects the factory amplifier in the vehicle and turns it on via the CHYAH05’s remote input wire for
navigation system installation.
• Plugs directly into existing factory sound system for a time saving installation solution.
• Provides the following CANBUS derived functions:
1. Vehicle Speed Sense (VSS) output wire for navigation system installations
2. Accessory 12vdc output – for accessory power input on aftermarket headunit
3. Parking brake output – safety output for video or navigation system installations

SUPERVEN Overview
The Super VEN (SVEN) has been created as a one-device solution for today’s sophisticated vehicle
sound systems. It has programmable input and output circuitry with slide switches, which allows
connection of RCA level or speaker level input or output. One SVEN can do the job of up to six typical LOC products and does so with optimally configured circuitry for each application. DC decoupling
circuit insures noise free integration and no load induced on the factory system. This is in contrast to
a normal LOC which uses resistors and can stress a factory radio’s circuitry. To make integration even
easier, see pages 41-46, there are also prewired, vehicle specific, premium sound harnesses with plug
& play compatibility.
