The Lenox Club A Private Social Club in the Heart of the Berkshires There is a place in Lenox like no other in this captivating region. Regardless of the season, it is a warm and inviting venue to meet friends, hold a momentous family event, enjoy fine dining, hear fascinating lectures, play a set of tennis or a round of croquet, and so much more. 150 years TH E LENOX CLU B 186 4–2014 Step inside our fabled mansion. We look forward to greeting you. Our Mission and Our Members The mission of the Lenox Club is to offer our members a haven that fosters social, cultural, intellectual and athletic interests and activities. It is a place to meet like-minded people from the community, form enduring friendships, and make memories that last a lifetime. Our membership boasts a lively and diverse group; many live year-round in the Berkshires while others enjoy vacation homes here. The Clubhouse and Grounds One of the Gilded Age Lenox “cottages,” the manor house and 120 acres of grounds are nearby Tanglewood and the center of Lenox village. Originally founded in 1864, the Club moved to its current and permanent location in this stately mansion in 1914. Highlights of The Lenox Club Dining Our dedicated in-house chef Michael Roller creates delectable and varied menus using local products grown and raised in the Berkshires. Formal dinners, buffets, luncheons, and casual fireside dining are offered. Members enjoy numerous dining venues at the Club depending on the season: large formal dining room, the casual and cozy grill room, sweeping covered veranda, and pavilion dining by the tennis and croquet courts. Accommodations Up the grand staircase are 9 spacious and lovely guest rooms, most with their own bathrooms. These are available by reservations for members and their guests. Sports Tennis and croquet are the main sports played at the Club. The tennis pavilion includes two har-tru courts, a changing area, kitchen, and covered pavilion for dining and watching the games. The United States Croquet Association leases and maintains the Club’s court, which they use for major tournaments. Private Events The entire Club is available to members for special private events such as weddings and anniversaries, with the Club staff providing formal dining, full bar service, music, and parking services. Round Table Lectures Every month members enjoy diverse artistic, intellectual, and cultural lectures and presentations by local luminaries. The evenings begin with cocktails followed by dinner and the lecture. Holidays Dining and entertainment are key to the Club’s celebration of the major holidays, including a New Year’s Eve Gala, 4th of July Barbeque, and Mother’s Day Brunch. Children The Club welcomes children of all ages and hosts special events throughout the year for their entertainment. 186 4–2014 TH E LENOX CLU B 150 years The Lenox Club 111 Yokun Avenue Lenox, MA 01240 PLACE STAMP HERE Membership in The Lenox Club Potential new members are encouraged to come and dine with us and tour the mansion and grounds.
