Read Cutting Strips and Pieces prior to cutting fabric. Getting Started This garden inspired quilt consists of smaller scaled blocks in six bi-monthly installments. Refer to Accurate Seam Allowance. Whenever possible use Assembly Line Method. Press seams in direction of arrows. Refer to Appliqué Instructions. Our instructions are for Quick-Fuse Appliqué, but if you prefer hand appliqué, reverse patterns and add g"-wide seam allowances. Appliqués are added to each block prior to sewing the quilt top together. Making the Ladybug Block 1. Use pattern to trace eight ladybugs on paper side of fusible web. Use appropriate fabrics to prepare all appliqués for fusing. 2. Refer to photo and layout to position and fuse appliqués to three 4h" Fabric A squares, three 4h" Fabric B squares, and two 4h" Fabric C squares. Finish appliqué edges with machine satin stitch or other decorative stitching as desired. Note: Keep appliqués away from seam allowance areas. 3. Referring to layout, arrange and sew together eight ladybug units from step 2. Press and label this Row 4.
