It has been a very eventful year with many successful programs and most recently ending our Summer with Fiesta La Ballona 2016. Terrific music, food and entertainment. With the start of the Fall, we are shifting gears offering our may Fall programs and moving ahead with some of our exciting projects such as the Senior Center Courtyard Remodel, new pre-K play equipment at SK Park and many renovations at out other parks and facilities. We also would like to take this time and thank you for your continued support, which was recently reinforced with our Summer Survey and your 95% customer satisfaction comments. Watch from below as the “tree” surrounding Vets Tower is illuminated. After illuminating the tree, Santa will arrive on a fire truck. Photo opportunities with Santa will be available along with holiday crafts and refreshments. Cost: Free The Veterans Memorial Complex is a Community and Recreation Rental Facility that includes Veterans Memorial Building, Culver City Teen Center and Culver City Senior Center. All facilities are available for rentals and regularly accommodate concerts and other performances, workshops and conferences, private parties, community meetings, trade shows and exhibitions as well as other gatherings. www.culvercity.org Veterans Memorial Complex rentals are available seven days a week from 9:00am-12:00am. The 40,000 square-foot facility includes a 50-meter x 25-yard Olympic size com petition pool. Our heated competition pool may be set up as an eight-lane long course or a 19-lane short course venue. The facility also has a 25-yard by 52-foot diving well with one-meter and three-meter springboards. The Plunge offers a variety of accessibility accommodations. The men's, women's, and family rooms are fully accessible to all patrons. The Plunge has (3) three ADA access points to the pool as well as automatic doors throughout the facility. Pool Rental Aqua Fit Water Aerobics The Culver City Plunge is available for rental to groups, organizations or private parties. Fees for renting the Plunge include rental and lifeguard fees. The Culver City Municipal Plunge is located at 4175 Overland Ave. $8/class; $70/4-week pass (from date of purch) Seniors (50 +): $7/ class; $65/ 4 week pass (from date of purchase) This class is for the novice exerciser who seeks a fun water workout. Buoyancy devices will be used to create a safe and well-balanced body exercise. Each week the children are introduced to one of the eight major sports--football, soccer, hockey, baseball, tennis, golf, volleyball, and basketball--and are challenged according to their individual skill level while grown-ups are taught techniques to help toddlers refine motor skills while developing social skills, and are introduced to sports terminology! Sportball maintains a one-parent-per-child ratio policy in all Parent & Child programs to ensure that focus is kept on helping little ones practice and progress in each and every class. YSE focuses on fun and learning through sports, games, music, dance and fitness activities that develop sport skills, teach good sportsmanship, refine body movement and coordination, and reinforce health and wellness values. Academics are also important and homework assistance is offered along with tutoring, and library and computer room access. !
