Installation for Printing From Your Laptop (Windows) 1. Connect to the Hult.edu Wi-Fi at Hult House. 2. Open Windows explorer 3. Type: \\192.168.40.9\ press enter. An Authentication screen will be prompted, Enter your Printing username and password, they were provided by e-mail. Note: Tick the remember my Credentials option A new window will open. 4. Adding the printers: Double click on "GBLJ Student Printer" and “GBLJ Student Printer 2”. The printer drivers will then be installed to your laptop. Don’t close the window. In the same window, you will find the installation file for PaperCut Client. 5. Installing Papercut Client: Open “PCClient\win\ “ folder. Double-click on Client-local-install.exe. The installation will be started. Follow the setup wizard. Once installation is completed, it will open a window, as shown below, asking you to enter your printing username and password. Notes: You can tick the “remember my identity” box for not doing it again. The Pcclient will start immediately, showing an icon in the taskbar and a small window in the right side of the screen with your balance. Note: The Pcclient will be started every time you turn on your computer. Make sure the icon is running in the taskbar, otherwise you are not going to be able to print. If it is not running go to start > All Programs > PaperCut MF and click on PaperCut MF Client Printing From your Laptop (windows) a. You can print from your selected system. The printer defaults to black and white prints but you can select colour printing from the options if you wish. b. Right after your click print command, a pop up screen will be asked you to enter your printing login (username and password). Also you will be able to select for how long you want to enable the printing access, It could be 1, 5, 15, 30, 60 minutes or until you logout. We recommend to select the "until I logout" option only if you are using your personal laptop. Otherwise other people can print from your account. c. You print job was authenticated and sent to the printer. d. You can collect your print out using your access card (Swipe your access card on the scanner attached to the printer) or touching the screen and entering your login (username and password) on the printer. (Remember if you want to use your access card, you will need to register it on the printer first). Registering your access card: swipe your access card on the scanner attached to the printer. You will then be prompted to enter your printing username and password. You will only need to do this one time. e. Select to print all the documents or press the document that you want to print out. f. When you finish, make sure to logout or you risk-losing credit due to unauthorized usage by others. User Web Page You can see your balance via a popup window (User Client Window/MAC), activated automatically when you run the PaperCut application. If you click in “Details” you will be directly to the User Web Pages, which provide you with a range of services for users, including: • • • • • • • Summary: A summary of usage and balance history. Rates: The current costs for printing. Add Credit: Add balance from an external payment system (paypal) Transfers: Transfer funds to other users. Transaction History: A history of balance transactions. Recent Print Jobs: A list of the user's recent printing. Jobs Pending Release: Print jobs pending release Note: you can also access to the User Web Page via the browser URL: http://192.168.40.9:9191/user Remember: You can access the User Web Page only when you are connected to the hult.edu wi-fi network at Hult House Campus. (You cannot access it, outside of the school network). If you have any issues please create a ticket at http://support.hult.edu and an engineer will get back to you as soon as possible.
