Each operates independently of another. Each has it’s own internal battery and controls. CHARGE THE CAMERA To charge the CAMERA, use the white USB cable and the Micro USB adapter. The indicator light B will be on when charging and the light will be off when battery is fully charged. Please charge for several hours before first use. You CAN charge the camera and the POWER SUPPLY at the same time. CHARGE THE OTHER DEVICES To charge other devices, use USB cable. Connect DC 5V 2A to charge other devices. The indicator A will be on when charging. You will find the latest manual here, along with any files you may need. TECH SUPPORT and available files Right-click on the timeset.TXT file, and choose SAVE LINK AS, or SAVE TARGET AS... Save the file to your watch, as shown in this example. Note: some computers may NOT show the “.txt” in the filename. This is normal. Your Drive Letter may vary. Do NOT save the Time file inside the DCIM folder. REPEAT the steps above with the “sizeset. txt” file. www.SafetyBasement.com Phone: 877-345-2336 Fax: 888-236-2524 Page 5 PRODUCT MANUAL PowerBank Covert Video Recorder : SB-PVR500 SETTING THE TIME & DATE Now that the Time.txt file is saved on your watch, Double-Click the file. A standard text editor should open the file. In Windows, this would be Notepad. On a Mac, it would be TextEdit. Adjust the Year.Month.Day (SPACE) Hour:Minutes:Seconds as needed. Add Y or N after to turn the timestamp ON or OFF. The punctuation and SPACE must remain. When finished, SAVE this file. A standard text editor should open the file. In Windows, this would be Notepad. On a Mac, it would be TextEdit. Enter the number for the camera resolution you want to use. The lower the number, the lower the resolution. 1- 320x240 2- 640x480 3- 1280x720 (recommended setting) 4- 1920x1080 When finished, SAVE this file. Close the text editor. To use the Time and Date you set, you must EJECT the device from your PC and power it up. EJECT the device from your PC. In Windows, right-click on the drive letter and choose Eject. Wait for Windows to say it’s okay to remove the device. Now, unplug the USB cable from the computer, then from the device. Press the Power On/Off Button on the top of the device. If your Indicator light C is steady blue, you are in standby mode. Your time and resolution is now set. Should the timestamp be wrong in your files, please redo the setup. NOTE: It is normal for the files you changed to be deleted during power up. If it’s still there, something is wrong with the file. www.SafetyBasement.com Phone: 877-345-2336 Fax: 888-236-2524 Page 7 PRODUCT MANUAL PowerBank Covert Video Recorder : SB-PVR500 AS A POWER SUPPLY To use the device as a POWER SUPPLY; • You might use the White USB cable with the iPod adapter to charge your iPod, iPhone or other devices. • Connect your device to the USB cable. To use the LED Light: • Under standby mode, Click On/OFF button continuously five times. The flashlight will turn on. Click On/Off button again to shutdown the flashlight. www.SafetyBasement.com Phone: 877-345-2336 Fax: 888-236-2524 Page 8 PRODUCT MANUAL PowerBank Covert Video Recorder : SB-PVR500 AS A COVERT CAMERA PowerBank On/Off / LED Light On / Off Indicator Light D Indicator Light A Indicator Light B Indicator Light C • Press the On/Off Power Button 1 time to enter Stand By Mode (Indicator light C will turn steady blue) • VIDEO - Under standby mode, press the Camera On/Off Button 1 time. The indicator light C will blink three times, then go dark. You are now recording video. To stop recording, press the On/Off Power Button again. The file will save and the blue indicator light C will be on. You are back in Stand By Mode.(Note: The device will autosave the video file every 10mins under recording mode.) • PHOTO - To take a photo, press the On/Off Power Button 2 times. The indicator light D will quickly flash once and go dark. You just took a picture. • AUDIO ONLY - Under standby mode, press the Power On/Off Button 3 times. The indicator light D will flash couple of times and go dark, and Indicator light C will flash as well. Your recording will start. To stop recording, press the On/Off Powerbutton 1 time. • MOTION DETECTION MODE - Under standby mode, Press the Power On/Off button 4 times. The indicator light C and indicator light D will flash. Your camera will now record when motion is detected. Indicator light C will be off and light D will keep on flashing. Press the On/Off Power Button again to stop recording. • POWER OFF - Hold the Power On/Off button until the status light goes dark. www.SafetyBasement.com Phone: 877-345-2336 Fax: 888-236-2524 Page 9 PRODUCT MANUAL PowerBank Covert Video Recorder : SB-PVR500 WHERE ARE MY FILES? To retreive your files: • Press the On/Off Power Button 1 time to put it into Stand By mode. • Insert the clear USB cable into the USB port labeled DC 5V 1A USB PORT.” This is the port away from the On/Off switch. • Connect the other end of the USB cable into a USB port directly on your PC. Do not use a hub. • In a moment, your PC will connect to your device. Your files are located inside the DCIM folder, and then inside additional organized folders. You should COPY these files to your PC for archiving and best playback. Then, delete the files to make room for more. NOTE TO MAC USERS! However, if you are having problems playing your files, or need more options, please download and try these programs. This software is free and can be downloaded directly from the links below. You can find support and tutorials for these programs on their respective websites. SafetyBasement can not provide software support for these programs As with ANY files you download from the internet, be sure to scan them for viruses using your particular virus scanner. While most users report no issues using this software, we can not be responsible for any damage caused by this software. Please proceed carefully. Back up your PC before installing any new software. VIDEO PLAYBACK - VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html) The VLC Media Player can play almost any video or audio file type. There is a version for Windows and for Mac OS X. VIDEO EDITING for WINDOWS - MOVIE MAKER 2012 (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/get-movie-makerdownload) Movie Maker is a simple video editing program from Microsoft. Please go to this link, and choose the download for your version of Windows. Please note: Movie Maker is part of the Windows Essentials package. VIDEO EDITING for MAC OS X - iMOVIE (Visit the Apple Mac App Store for latest version) iMovie is a simple video editing program from Apple. It comes installed with your new Mac. The latest version is also available at the Mac App Store at additional cost. AUDIO PLAYBACK and EDITING - AUDACITY (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) Audacity is a popular audio editing program used by amateurs and professionals to edit simple and complex audio projects. You can use Audacity to convert your audio files to another format, such as MP3. There is a version for Windows and Mac OS X.
