Centers of Excellence drive the innovation and developments in that focus area and push the boundaries of what is currently achievable. They become the go-to-institutions for industry and government entities seeking to apply the particular technologies/techniques for their own engineering developments. VTI has partnered with several institutions to provide cutting edge tools and access to resources necessary to develop and sustain Centers of Excellence. We wish to assist engineering institutions in India as well to achieve and sustain similar statuses. India produces some of the best engineers and scientists in the world, but is affected by the problem of brain drain – many of our brightest engineers end up working in foreign countries. The student’s departure often starts with them pursuing Master’s or Doctorate degrees in foreign institutions where better tools and facilities are often available to enable them to gain better understanding on focused topics. By establishing Centers of Excellence in India, we wish to combat this problem and enable domestic institutions to provide a high-level of practical education and focused training that the students desire. VTI will provide the complete tools, resources, partnerships and training to help the institutions gain a level of expertise in the field that will allow them to be recognized as a Center of Excellence. This will not only help draw the best and brightest students, but also allow institutions to develop collaborative industrial partnerships which can generate a significant added revenue stream. In addition, students graduating through the Center of Excellence programs will become industry specialists in the particular fields, and become highly sought after. 38 w w w . vtii n s t r u m e n t s . c o m improving EMPLOYABILITY Package Details The Center of Excellence package is comprehensive and delivers: 39 • C o m p l e t e i n s t rum e n tat i o n n e c e s s a r y t o p e rf o rm e x p e r i m e n t s / s t ud i e s i n t h e pa r t i cu l a r f i e Ld .
