The FIG Flash 85 (March 2009) includes a notice about MIAC 2009, and in the Acro section an article about the event. You can also see a video article
(narrated in Portuguese).
The Flanders International Acro Cup 2009 will take place between the 9th and the 12th April 2009 in Puurs, Belgium. Acro Clube da Maia will participate
with some of its best pairs/groups in the Age Group and Junior categories.
MIAC 2010 preparation has already started and its website will be announced and launched around August 2009…

On the 13th December 2008, the first edition of the Maia Acrobatics Open took place at the Maia Gymnastics Complex. This was another preliminary event
to MIAC 2009 and, in terms of results, Acro Clube da Maia (ACM) dominated the event (see the video)…

Five posters have been submitted to the MIAC 2009 Poster Contest and the voting process has been concluded. The final results are shown below, with
the poster on the left being the most voted (45.51%) and the one on the right the least voted (3.72%).
The author of the most voted poster (and also of the 2nd and 3rd ones) is the Portuguese photographer J. Pedro Martins, who lives in Vila do Conde,

Integrated in the Portuguese national teams, three pairs and two trios from Acro Clube da Maia participated in the 2008 Gymnastics Acrobatics FIG’s World
Age Group Competition and World Championships. The good results achieved have exceed initial expectations and were the following:

MIAC 2009 Poster/Mascot Contests

Acro Clube da Maia proudly announces that MIAC 2009′s Poster Contest and Mascot Contest will be launched on the 1st October 2008. The submission
period will last until the 31st October 2008. The online voting period will happen between the 1st and the 20th November 2008. Both contests winning
proposals will be publicly announced before the 30th November 2008.

The 3rd edition of Maia International Acro Cup will be hosted at the modern and well­equipped Maia Gymnastics Complex. The lunches, dinners and
social events will happen in the Maia Tennis Complex (5 minute walk from the competition place).
Maia town hall and main square are at 15 minute walk from Maia Gymnastics Complex. Near the town hall there is a metro (surface and underground
electric) train going to and from Porto centre (40 minute trip).
