1941.20.IV Cholm. Official stamps of the Ukrainian Relief Committee (URC) in Cholm, designed for internal business use of the URC and its delegates. A postal communication network was developed with 35 locations including a special postmark, but the German occupation authorities did not allow these stamps to be used. Letters are known used on the first day with the URC postmark and a separate date stamp. The stamp designs by Svyatoslav Shramchenka and Basil Shtulya show maps, views of old churches and towers in the Cholm district, modern buildings Cholm, a portrait of the head of the URC, the Cholm coat of arms and the trident emblem. Printed by typography in the URC printing plant, on various types and colors of paper, imperforate. Later, for propaganda purposes, additional quantities were printed in various colors and also with hand-carved overprints of memorable dates: "19. IX. 1941 Kyiv" and "22. IX. 1942" and also issued a separate black / blue stamp with the date "3. V. 1943." were also prepared official envelopes with the overprinted stamp no. 6 and postcards with the stamp no. 4. IX. 1941. Cholm. Commemorative stamps issued by the West Cholm UDC office for the 75th anniversary of the issue of Zemstvo stamps in Ukraine. The central vignettes contain pictures of the stamps issud by the Kozelets, Dniprovsk and Verkhnednieprovsk Zemstvos. The frames contain the inscription "75 years of Ukrainian postage stamps" and the dates "1866-1941". Both upper corners contain tridents.
