Nicaragua Flight INFO
GIVE Group Flights
GIVE has organized international round trip group flights to and from Nicaragua.
These flights are required as the group flights will benefit the whole group. There
are many benefits to entering Nicaragua together, not only will our GIVE staff
accompany you through the customs process, but you will also have the chance to
meet and fly with your volunteer team. Furthermore, taking the group flight option
will guarantee your pick up and transportation from the Managua airport to our
accommodations, and will subsequently expedite this process as all members will be
arriving at the same time.
Ticket Information
Flights required:
•
Group flight from (Miami, Florida) to the arrival airport (Managua, Nicaragua)
•
Feeder flight from your home city to the group flight departure airport (Miami,
Florida). It is not required that your flight from your home city to Miami is booked
through STA, and cheaper options may exist online. However, there are added benefits with consolidating your itinerary through STA. This ticket will be issued as
separate from the group flight, so be sure to allow adequate time between connecting
flights and the group flight.
G ve
GIVE works directly with STA to find great deals for our volunteers’ group flights.
By booking through STA, you will be able to pay a $150.00 deposit towards the
group flight to Nicaragua to lock in the airfare. This means that after you pay the
™
deposit, you no longer have to worry about flight prices rising. This is different than
booking with regular airlines because they do not accept deposit payments to lock in
that day’s airfare cost.
While the base fare for the group flight is currently locked in, the airfare tax may still
fluctuate. Therefore we STRONGLY encourage our volunteers to book their flights
as soon as possible to reserve a low airfare price for travel to Managua, Nicaragua.
In addition to locking in your flight price with a deposit, our volunteers can take
advantage of many other benefits through STA. These benefits include:
•

Conveniently Book All Flights. STA’s International Programs department can
book your feeder flights from your home city to the group flight in Miami, Florida.
The STA agent will advise you on the best travel itineraries, please keep in mind this

group flight in Miami.
•
Ticket Payment. You do not have to pay the full balance of the group flight
until your full passenger information is required, depending on your travel date this is
typically around 60 days prior to your departure.
Please note that taxes and fuel surcharges affect your ticket price. Airline prices can
fluctuate daily depending on the tax issued that day. Prices will continue to fluctuate
until you pay for the full ticket price.
If you have special circumstances and prefer to book your own flight arrangements,
then you must contact our offices to notify us of your flight itinerary. You must meet
us in Managua International Airport 30 minutes before the group flight arrival time.
If you miss the group transportation you may be liable for the transportation cost to
meet the group at our accommodations.
