I. Hôtel Fleur D’épée
The selected hotel for your stay during DLT 2016 is the FLEUR D’EPEE HOTEL ***.
Located in the heart of Le Gosier, one of the main tourist destinations in the
Guadeloupe archipelago, it is 11 km away from Pointe-à-Pitre Pôle Caraïbes Airport.
Water sports, such as paddle-boarding and jet skiing, are offered as well as free
snorkel hire and diving classes. Wind surfing, water skiing, and children’s club are
available for a fee.

II. Quick presentation
A. Le Gosier
Located near Pointe-à-Pitre, on
the south coast of the island of
Grande-Terre, the town of Le
Gosier takes its name from a
species of pelican called "grand
gosier" (literally meaning "large
throat pouch"). It is one of the
main tourist destinations in the
Guadeloupe archipelago. Sandy
beaches,
water
sports,
shops,
restaurants, bars, casinos and nightclubs have plenty in store for holidaymakers
looking for fun and entertainment!
The lovely sea water pool located at Anse Tabarin is appreciated for swimming, as
well as learning sailing and kayaking. The beautiful beaches of pale sand, for their
part, are sure to appeal to lovers of relaxation. Lit until 11 pm, Datcha beach in
particular is ideal for jogging, water sports or a night swim. Further east, in the
direction of Sainte-Anne, the lovely and mellow beach of Petit-Havre is a peaceful
haven that's ideal for swimming, a picnic or a rest in the shade of the trees.
Departing from the dyke near Datcha beach, you
can take a shuttle trip to the Gosier islet, located
just off the coast of the resort, at any time of day.
Highly prized by boaters, this protected site is
ideal for a relaxing break or a diving trip with a
mask and snorkel.
Every Friday night from 5 pm, the night market, which is held along the two main
streets of the town, has many stands selling exotic fruit and vegetables and crafts, all
in a cheerful, sociable atmosphere!

B. Sainte-Anne
Located on Grande-Terre, in the
middle
of
the
south
coast
between Le Gosier and SaintFrançois, the seaside resort of
Sainte-Anne is one of the most
popular
particularly
in
Guadeloupe,
appeals
to
holidaymakers who love to relax
on its picture postcard beaches.
Caravelle beach in particular, with
its white sand, coconut palms and turquoise lagoon, is surely one of the most
beautiful in the Guadeloupe archipelago! An ideal place to relax, take a dip or go
windsurfing, while enjoying a most idyllic setting...
At the heart of Sainte-Anne, Bourg beach delights tourists and locals alike with its
fine sand, calm waters for swimming, and its lively atmosphere. Along the beach
runs a nice little market with exotic fruits and vegetables, spices, handicrafts, punch
and other rum drinks!
Going
towards
Saint-François,
you will also have a chance to
spread out your towel on the
white sand of the beautiful beach
at Bois Jolan, ideal for picnics in
the shade of the coconut trees or
taking a dip in the tranquil, clear
water of its lagoon. The sportier
beach of Anse Gros Sable is
known for its surf spot that
attracts board sports enthusiasts.
The popular night market, which takes place near the municipal stadium of SainteAnne, welcomes visitors every Thursday from 6 pm. This is an opportunity to
discover local products, fruit and vegetables, spices and Antilles hot food, all to the
sound of zouk music. The lively, friendly and festive atmosphere is a reminder of the
good life and cheerful spirit that reigns in Sainte-Anne!.

A. Gwada Hostel
Located 5.5 km from Le Gosier, the E gwada hostel is a 20-minute drive from the
airport. You will find many bars close by like “Le Petit New York” with very good
atmosphere on weekends and the closest mall is 10 minutes away, named “Geant
Casino” mall at bas du fort.
The E.Gwada youth hostel has a warm atmosphere and offers a garden with BBQ
facilities. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are
included.
E.Gwada Hostel offers private rooms and

dormitories.

and access to shared bathroom facilities.
The hostel has a communal living area and a

situated in Les Abymes in the Grande-Terre Region, 6 km from Le Gosier. SainteAnne is 12 km from the property. You will find around shopping centers in 10 and 15
minutes drive (respectively Milenis and Destreland )
