Autumn
IN THE WOODS
The Perfect Place to Grow
Welcome Fall....Welcome the changing of the leaves…Welcome cool nights and
perfect days! The calm weather is welcome after a summer of heat, drought
and weather disasters. Fall brings the best …it is the start of a great season
that includes multiple holidays ---each very different, but all a good reason to
get together with family & friends! Make sure to put a nice, long walk on your
calendar and head out to the trails in Corporate Woods. And make sure to
check out our Fall events in the Woods through the end of the year.
Enjoy getting up to date on the events, activities and improvements around
“the Woods” and remember we want your input….questions, suggestions,
comments or any of your ongoing services or communications – please call
Lisa Dillon at 913-451-4466 or email ldillon@stoltzusa.com.
Fun Fall Facts
Because of the wide variety of trees, the Eastern United States, especially the North
Eastern U.S., is one of the best places in the world for viewing fall colors.
The leave colors red, yellow & brown are in the leaves all year long & only become
exposed when the green chlorophyll disappears in the fall.
Haunted house attractions bring in almost ½ billion dollars annually.
Citrine is a November birthstone. Citrine is actually quartz crystal and is yellow to
orange in color.
November is Tobacco Awarness Month.
Boxing Day is the 26th of December. The tradition has
long included giving money and other gifts to those
who were needy and in service positions. The holiday
originated from the middle ages (A.D. 400’s-1500’s).
In 1973, Hallmark introduced six glass ball ornaments
and 12 yarn figures as the first collection of Hallmark
Keepsake Ornaments. A new tradition of Christmas
decorating was started and a new collectible industry
was born.
