10 years ago, when the team at Fisherman Eyewear introduced the first Guideline Eyegear styles; to build optical
quality, innovative and thoughtfully designed polarized sunglasses to rival our competitors. We believe that our 2016
product offering surpasses this pledge with our Bio Based Polymer frames, spring hinged temples, double injected
“non-slip” brows and nose pads, vented lenses, and of course, high quality Polarized - 100% UVA & UVB protection –

Guideline Lens Tints And Mirror Coatings
Our lens-tint technology centers around visible light transmission, or VLT (the amount of light reaching the
eye after passing through the lens), and is measured as a percentage. “All purpose” sunglass lenses typically
range in VLT from 15-25%, sunglasses designed for high glare situations, such as crossing a glacier, have a
range in VLT from 4-10%. Water sport sunglasses generally have a VLT between 10-20%.

54% bio based (castor bean) polymer frame is very durable and flexible. Our bio based frame material is better
for the environment than traditional sunglass frame plastics for three specific reasons – First, the CO2 emissions
generated during the manufacturing process is 44% less than what is created during the manufacturing of
traditional sunglass frame plastics. Second, the sustainably grown castor bean, and the natural oil generated
from it, is a true alternative to crude oil based plastics, and third, Grilamid BTR is fully recyclable.

accompanying those Guideline frame styles which may be fitted with polarized
prescription lenses.
With Guideline’s Rx program, we now offer most Guideline frames and lens tints made
to order with your prescription. Starting at $169, Guideline Eyegear can build both singlevision and bifocal polarized sunglasses in either CR39 or polycarbonate lenses.
If you think you’re ready for a custom pair of prescription polarized sunglasses at the
best price on the planet, here are the best ways to go about it.
• Make sure you have a current Rx from your eye doctor, it’s very important to have your
PD or pupillary distance measured as well as your common axis measurements. You
will need your PD to complete the order.
• If you’re prescription parameters fall within this range: sphere +3.00 to -4.00 with a
cylinder up to +/-2.50, we can make a pair of glasses for you!
• Once you have your Rx, you can either: stop by your local Guideline dealer, log onto
glpolarized.com or give us a call at 866.842.3474 and select your frames and lenses.
• We will double check your prescription with you in advance of processing your order.
It’s our highest priority to ensure we have the correct information as Rx orders are nonrefundable once production begins.
• Whatever method you choose, we have taken steps to assure you’ll receive the highest
quality prescription glasses possible for your pursuits on and near the water.

Guideline Limited Lifetime Warranty
All Guideline Polarized Eyegear products are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the product.
This warranty does not cover damage from normal wear or abuse, such as scratched lenses. Guideline will either repair or replace, at our
option, any pair of Guideline Polarized Eyegear product which is found to be defective. In the event the same model is not available for
replacement, Guideline agrees to offer the customer the choice of the three most similar models (of equal or greater value) for the purpose
of satisfying this warranty.
