The Atago Abbe Modet OR-At Oigital Refractometer measorea both
refractive index (riD) and Brix (%) of samples such as liquids, glass,
plastics and film. Simple operation consists of placing a sample on
the prism; while looking through the eyepiece, turn the control knob
untg the shadow line is centered in the cross hairs, the reading is
shown on the large LCD readout. Unit can be calibrated with water or
with the 1.5163nD glass standard. Features include large, menudriven LCD, refractive index (nD) and Brix scales, primary and secondary prisms, color compensation dial, large control knob, focusable eyepiece, external power supply, desiccant case and drain nozzle.
Long-life LED light source can be set for upper and lower settings
enabling both transmission and reflection measurement modes. Features two circular nozzles for the primary prism and two for the
secondary prism, which can be connected to a circulating bath to
accurately regulate prism temperature. The effective temperature range
is 0 to 50°C. Offers Automatic Temperature Compensation, for the
Brix scale only, with 20°C as the reference point. Temperature compensation range is 5 to 50°C. Overall dimensions are 1t .4L x 5.12W
x 12.2H, inches and the weight is 13.25 pounds. Supplied with power
supply, power cord, glass standard (1.5163nD), contact liquid, allen
wrench, lighting adapter, for solid samples, 10 tubing bands and
instruction manual. For operation on 100 - 240 volts, 50/BOHz, AC.
A self-contained instrument that eliminates the thermometer and water
bath and lessens the chances of human error. Incorporates solid state
elecronJcs and has push-button, LED digital readout of % soluble
solids or refractive index; also, instant digital readout of temperature at
pdsm-sample interface. BrJxmeasurements are automatically corrected
for temperature variations. Temperature compensated range is 15 to
50"0 _+0.1°C.Rangefor dissolved solids is 0 to 85° Brix with accuracy
of +_0.1; range of refractive index is 1.3200 to 1.700 with accuracy of
_+0.0001. Prisms are epoxy sealed glass in type 303 stainless steel to
provide maximum resistance. Measuring prism includes water connections. Has easily adjusted, built-in light source. For operation on
115 volts, 50/60 Hz, AC. UL listed and GSA approved.

Atago handhe~d refractometers are portable, simple to operate and provide quick and accurate concentration measurement of nearly any
aqueous solution. Simple operation consists of placing t or 2 drops of the sample on the prism, closing the daylight plate over the sample
and then looking through the focusable, cushioned, rubber eyepiece for the direct measurement reading. Scares are easy to read with large
figures and screen shading to enhance accuracy. All units feature rubber grips on the body to block the transmission of hand heat to reduce
temperature errors. Refractometers can be calibrated with water or with a refractive index (nD) standard using the integral calibration screw.
Accidental calibration changes are eliminated by calibration screw protectors. All models offer rugged construction to provide reliable use. The
prisms are mounted in high-impact plastic for corrosion and breakage resistance, They also feature non-roll stands which stabilize the
instruments when set down and prevent rolling or falling from the tabletop. Refractometers offer a wide range of applications and are available
with the following scales: Brix, Salinity and Automotive.
