Why Perillo to Italy?
Crafting Italy Tours for 71 Years
Unmatched Meal Service
Perillo’s itineraries have been honed and crafted with the ideal balance
of sightseeing, free time, optional activities and relaxation. Our itineraries
are often imitated, but never surpassed!
Breakfast:
Full American-style buffet breakfast daily including cereals, eggs,
sausages, bacon, cheeses, yogurt, fruit juices and more.
Smaller Groups
Dinner:
Serving the best regional cuisine and wines including pasta, choice of
entrées, vegetables, dessert and coffee.
Our group sizes are from 20 guests to a maximum of 40. Our congenial
groups result in lifetime friendships, regular alumni parties and even
marriages. Italy, after all, is the land of romance!
Italy’s Best Tour Leaders
Beverages:
One bottle of great regional wine per couple, soda, beer and mineral
water (for those who do not drink wine) and coffee.
In Italy, being accepted as a Perillo Tour guide is recognized as the
pinnacle of achievement in our industry. They’re simply the best.
Vineyard Visits and Wine Tastings
More Legroom
Our deluxe, state-of-the-art motorcoaches now have EXTRA legroom
for your touring comfort.
Centrally-Located Hotels
All of our tours feature excellent 4-star and 5-star, centrally-located
hotels. We have close relationships with each hotel manager and they
are well aware of the importance of each Perillo Tour guest.
Several of our tours feature a visit to a popular Italian vineyard and wine
cantina. You’ll learn Italian wine making techniques and, of course,
you’ll sample the results!
Airport Transfers in Italy for All Guests
Whether you buy your air ticket to Italy from Perillo Tours or on your own,
we’re happy to offer free round-trip airport transfers at scheduled times,
provided you arrive and depart on scheduled tour days.
“You may have the universe if I may have Italy.” —Giuseppe Verdi
Take Over One of Our Tour Departures.
Commandeer one of the scheduled fully-escorted tours in this brochure!
Just get a minimum of 25 family, friends or business associates and that
departure date becomes your private Perillo Tour. Of course, your group
leader will travel free!
There’s an additional benefit to this. If you fall short of the 25 guests needed
for a private tour, your smaller group can join in with our regular Perillo
guests. This will guarantee that you only pay the tour rate shown in the
brochure. So if you don’t reach your minimum, we’ll help reach it for you!

Our Restaurants
We take great pride in the authentic, high-quality, four-course meals served on our tours.
Each restaurant and every menu item are hand-selected by our staff in Rome. And, of
course, the wines flow with great local vintages. Here are some sample menus!
Sabatini’s Restaurant in Florence
• Antipasto Sabatini (tender beef served over a fresh salad)
• Penne with a brandy sauce & Ravioli with
homemade pesto sauce
• Scaloppa dello chef: Veal medallions with eggplant
and buffalo mozzarella baked with white wine sauce or

with American coffee
• Wine
Il Roseto, Rose Garden Palace in Rome

Winery
On many of our tours, we include a visit to the Tenuta Torciano Winery in
San Gimignano, Tuscany. The owner, Pierluigi Giachi, offers a unique and
truly enjoyable experience where fine wine meets passion. He is able to
teach and entertain at the same time; you’ll learn the proper way to hold
a glass and sip your wine, all while laughing at his comedic presentation.
You’ll have a chance to taste their amazing olive & truffle oils, balsamic
vinegar along with delicious bread…but why stop here? We’ve included
a meal of cheeses, salamis, bruschette, salad, Tuscan soup and lasagna!
All followed by Cantuccini cookies with a fabulous Tuscan dessert wine.

having seen what it is expected a man should see.” —Samuel Johnson

Tonight, we enjoy a fun dinner. You’ll get a taste
of Italian cuisine in a family-style restaurant in
the characteristic district of Trastevere, one of
the centers of Rome’s nightlife, including wines
fit for the Roman Gods! This lively area is just
what one imagines Italy to be like, with tiny
cobblestone streets and music-filled trattorias
on every corner. BB, D
DAY 3 – Thursday
Rome ➤ Vatican Museum ➤
Sistine Chapel ➤ St. Peter’s Basilica
This morning, it’s a ten-minute drive to
another country—Vatican City. With our expert
local guide we’ll tour the Vatican Museums, a
massive collection of ancient Greek sculptures,
medieval tapestries and Renaissance paintings.
Our visit culminates in the Sistine Chapel,
renowned for its Renaissance art, especially
the ceiling which was painted by Michelangelo
between 1508 and 1512. This room, which
attracts more than five-million visitors each
year, is also where the Pope is elected.
Next we visit St. Peter’s Basilica, by far the
largest church in Christendom. We’ll see
Michelangelo’s Pietà, sculpted when he was
just 24, as well as Bernini’s seven-story bronze
canopy above the main altar.
Tonight, we thought you’d enjoy a dinner on
your own. Ask your tour guide for a nearby
recommendation, or venture out and explore
the lively restaurants in Rome! Be sure to try
Pasta cacio e pepe—pasta in a creamy olive oil,
pecorino cheese and black pepper sauce—
a specialty of Rome. BB
DAY 5 – Friday Rome’s Trastevere

awaits our inspection! Our day of sightseeing
includes the majestic Duomo built in 1296,
Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistery with its
renowned Gates of Paradise doors.

Rome
DAY TRIP/ VISIT
OVERNIGHT STAY
with its colorful fruit and vegetable markets will
give you a chance to take a look at real Roman
life. We’ll visit the site of Rome’s Jewish Ghetto,
which is located near the Tiber River.
There’s been a Jewish community in Rome
since the 2nd Century BC. But it was Pope Paul IV
who ordered them into a walled-off section of
town in 1555. At night, the gates were locked on
three sides, while the Tiber River blocked off
the fourth side.
But in 1870, the Papal States lost control, Italy
became unified, and the Jews were free to
leave the Ghetto!
All this walking will make us hungry… So we’ll
enjoy a traditional lunch in one of the best
restaurants in the Ghetto and, hopefully, we
get to enjoy Carciofi alla giuda, Jewish style
artichokes, one of the signature dishes of
Roman Jewish cooking (seasonal).
Tonight, you get to enjoy dinner on your
own. Be sure to try another specialty of
Rome: Bucatini all’Amatriciana. Bucatini, thick
spaghetti with a hole running through the
center, are arguably the most Roman of all
pasta shapes; with amatriciana sauce made of
tomatoes, guanciale (pig’s cheek), peperoncino
and grated Pecorino Romano. My mouth is
watering right now! BB, L
DAY 6 – Saturday Rome ➤ Florence
This morning, it’s an enjoyable ride through
the Tuscan countryside on our way to Florence.
Our deluxe motorcoach navigates the rolling
hills, scenic vineyards and postcard perfect
vistas of Tuscany. Your tour leader will give
you some useful information on this beautiful
region while you relax and enjoy the scenery.
Tonight, enjoy a Florentine dinner with local
wines at our hotel. BB, D
We follow the medieval streets to the most
striking square in Florence, Piazza della
Signoria, home of Santa Croce Church,
Michelangelo’s final resting place.
“Breathtaking” is the only word to describe
one’s first view of Michelangelo’s David. Yes, it’s
quite large and detailed. But the real magic is in
how Michelangelo transformed a lifeless rock
into a man—full of pride, wary of his adversary,
yet quietly confident. All with just a hammer
and chisel!
Tonight, enjoy dinner on your own at a local
Florentine restaurant. Be sure to try Ribollita,
one of Florence’s most delicious specialties.
This hearty soup is made from cannellini beans,
vegetables, red cabbage and chunks of pane
(bread). BB
DAY 8 – Monday
Florence ➤ Lucca ➤ Pisa ➤ Florence
This morning, after breakfast, we drive to
Lucca, also known as “the city of 100 churches.”
These churches can be found inside the famous
walls that surround the city, which were
fortified to protect the city from attacks in the
Middle Ages. We will visit the famous Duomo,
the Amphitheater and the impressive Church
of San Frediano.
This afternoon we travel to Pisa, known for its
famous leaning tower. The Piazza del Duomo,
also known as Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of
Miracles) is recognized as one of the main
centers for medieval art in the world. It features
four great religious edifices: the Cathedral, the
Campanile (the Leaning Tower), the Baptistery
and the Camposanto.
We’ll enter the Cathedral which is dedicated
to St. Mary of the Assumption. Inside the
Cathedral is a big candelabrum near the altar.
It’s said that Galileo Galilei tested his laws of the
pendulum using this candelabrum!
Next we enter the Baptistery, the largest in all
of Italy, made entirely of marble. This building,
which is dedicated to St. John the Baptist,
took 211 years to construct! It is famous for
its perfect acoustics.
Tonight, we enjoy dinner out with a typical
Tuscan meal including delicious Bistecca
Fiorentina (Florentine steak)! BB, D
DAY 9 – Tuesday Florence ➤ Siena ➤
San Gimignano ➤ Chianti ➤ Florence
Today we travel back in time to the middle
ages: Siena, a beautiful city with a historical
center that has been declared an UNESCO
World Heritage site. We visit the famous Piazza
del Campo, one of Europe’s greatest medieval
squares and the site of Siena’s famous horse
race, the Palio di Siena.
We visit Siena’s town hall, Palazzo Pubblico,
a beautiful gothic building which sits on
Piazza del Campo by the bell tower, and the
enchanting Duomo featuring the most
ornate mosaic floor in all Italy.
Next, we drive through the beautiful Chianti
landscape with its rolling hills, then proceed
to San Gimignano with its 13 towers that
dominate the skyline of this medieval town.
Finally, you’ll get to visit a local winery and
meet our dear friend, Pierluigi Giachi, the
world’s most entertaining sommelier. You’ll
enjoy an early light dinner and wine tasting at
the Tenuta Torciano! Salute! BB, D
DAY 10 – Wednesday Return to USA
This morning you board your flight home
arriving in the USA the same day. Grazie mille

This morning, after breakfast, our walking
tour includes Chiesa di San Lorenzo, the
Duomo, and Piazza San Carlo known as
the “drawing room of Turin.”
Turin is known as the city of chocolates…
and it is also home to Slow Food’s supermarket,
EATALY. This high-end Italian food market
houses a variety of restaurants, food stations,
bakery and retail items. Enjoy your visit here
and be sure to taste test all their goodies…
especially the chocolate!
This afternoon, we visit the Basilica of Superga,
the final resting place for 50 members of the
10
Savoy family. The construction of the basilica,
which is located on the top of the hill of Superga
with breathtaking views of the city, began in
1717 and took 14 years to complete!
Then we proceed to see the Parco del
Valentino, Turin’s second largest park.
It was opened by the city of Turin in 1856
and was Italy’s very first public garden.
Tonight, you will be able to experience this
city on your own… its tradition of chocolate,
gianduiotti and gelato is something any food
lover needs to experience. But first, you’ll need
dinner—or you can have dinner after dessert!
There are so many restaurants to choose
from. Be sure to try a specialty from this area:
spaghetti with truffles from Piedmont! BB
DAY 4 – Saturday Turin ➤ Bologna
This morning, after breakfast, we travel to
Bologna, the gastronomic capital of Italy.
To Italians, Bologna is known as the city of
“Two Towers;” worldwide it’s known as the city
of lasagna, tagliatelle, tortellini and Bolognese
sauce. Good food must help boost brain power
so that’s probably why Bologna is home to
the oldest university in Europe!
This afternoon is yours to enjoy on your own…
The market stalls selling beans and tomatoes,
specialty shops selling cheeses, and trattorias
serving fresh pasta make this city a food
lover’s paradise!

DAY 7 – Tuesday Bologna ➤
La Spezia ➤ Cinque Terre ➤ Rapallo
Truly an exciting day! Today we visit the
Cinque Terre, the ruggedly beautiful stretch of
coastline inset with five tiny villages perched
This morning, after a leisurely breakfast,
we take a short boat ride to Portofino, a
picturesque seaside village with brightly
colored houses lining the shore of the harbor.
Portofino is also known as the resort of the rich
and famous…a perfect place for our guests!
Designer boutiques and dozens of cafés and
restaurants line the main square and give
guests the chance to see the Italian bella vita.
You’ll have some free time to visit the main
square, the church of San Giorgio, which is
said to have relics of St. George, and the Brown
Castle, which was built in the 15th century and
has been used for harbour defense during
the centuries.
Next we visit San Fruttuoso, an isolated fishing
village which is also home to the San Fruttuoso
Abbey, a seashore monastery near Portofino.
Built by Greek monks in the 10th century, it was
rebuilt after one hundred years and renovated
over and over until the 16th century.
Our next visit will be of Camogli, a small,
charming fishing village and tourist resort.
This town has a small harbor with shops and
restaurants. You’ll have some free time to
sightsee, have a gelato or just sit and people
watch.
This afternoon we return to our hotel and enjoy
the remainder of day/night at leisure. BB
DAY 9 – Thursday Rapallo ➤ Stresa
Today we drive to Stresa on beautiful Lake
Maggiore. For centuries, Stresa has been a
popular retreat for Europe’s aristocrats who
have endowed the town with a number of
beautiful villas.
Next we visit Isola Bella, “beautiful island,” one
of the Borromean Islands of Lake Maggiore.
This lovely island will remain in your memory
forever…with its wonderful gardens and
impressive palace. BB
Tonight, enjoy one of your last dinners in Italy
on your own. Time to really indulge! BB
DAY 10 – Friday
Stresa ➤ Lugano ➤ Como ➤ Stresa
This morning we enjoy an excursion to Lugano
to explore the Italian section of Switzerland.
Its close proximity to Italy makes Lugano a city
which has a wonderful blend of Italian charm
and Swiss sophistication. Stroll along the
charming arcades, admire breathtaking
lake views and, most importantly, shop
for Swiss chocolate!!!
Next we enjoy a boat ride around Lake Como,
widely regarded as one of the most beautiful
lakes in Italy. Many celebrities have or have had
homes on the shores of Lake Como—George
Clooney, Gianni Versace, Sylvester Stallone,
Madonna—Real estate offices will be open for
your convenience!
Tonight, we have a final dinner in the hotel
with our new travel friends. Don’t forget to

There will be time to relax this afternoon before
dinner with fine local vino at our hotel. D
DAY 3 – Sunday
Jewish Ghetto with lunch
This morning, on our way to the Jewish Ghetto,
we stop at the Arch of Constantine for a picture
outside of the Colosseum.
Next, you’ll have a chance to visit the oldest
quarters of Rome. A walking tour around the
Jewish Ghetto will give you a chance to relive
historic Roman life. In Italian, the Ghetto was
called Serraglio degli Ebrei, which means the
“enclosure of the Jews.”
After our walking tour, we enjoy a traditional
lunch in one of the best restaurants in the
Ghetto and; hopefully, we get to enjoy
Carciofi alla giuda, Jewish style artichokes,
one of the signature dishes of Roman Jewish
cooking (seasonal).
This afternoon, we visit the “Basilica of Saint
Paul Outside the Walls,” one of Rome’s four
ancient Papal major Basilicas and also the
12
largest church in Rome (Remember the Vatican
is its own country). This Basilica was built over
the burial place of St. Paul in the 4th century.
According to a local legend, the Pope whose
face graces the last circular portrait on the wall,
signals the end of the world (when he dies).
Is this really true? I hope not!
Next, a special visit to the catacombs. Discover
Imperial and early Christian Rome by peeling
back layers and millennia of history as you
descend into the Eternal City’s underground
burial chambers, with its long winding
catacombs and crypts.
Tonight you have a chance to explore the
wonderful restaurants in Rome on your own.
Be sure to try some Fiori di zucca, a specialty
in Rome: Zucchini flowers, deep fried and
filled with mozzarella and sometimes
anchovies. BB, L
DAY 4 – Monday Rome ➤ Vatican
Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica
This morning, we slip into the Vatican Museum
and Sistine Chapel for a private tour before the
crowds arrive (this is a semi-private experience,
sometimes with a few other small groups as
opposed to the usual thousands of visitors
who arrive when it opens).
What a way to experience the Sistine Chapel!
Exceptionally, our tour guide will be able
to speak freely in the chapel to us, before
the crowds enter when SILENZIO is
strictly enforced by the guards.
Rome
DAY TRIP/ VISIT
OVERNIGHT STAY
After a coffee break in the museum’s
cafeteria, our private tour continues to the
Raphael Rooms, the Sala Di Chiaroscuro and
the secret Nicolina Chapel inside the walls of the
Vatican. These are ALL areas well off the normal
tourist route!
Finally, we go outside to the Papal gardens.
We will stroll through the private park of the
Pontiff to view the beautiful plantings and
statues—and perhaps spot a Pope, or two—
as is only possible at this time! I’m proud to
say that I have contributed funds to the
restoration of important artwork in the
Vatican Gardens and we now have a
Perillo Tours plaque which stands there.
Note: Specific rooms and tours of the gardens can
be cancelled at the last minute due to unforeseen
activities of the Holy Father, in which case an
alternative site will be offered within the Vatican.
Next, again avoiding all lines, we slip through
a side door to find ourselves inside an awesome
marble canyon, the seat of the Holy Catholic
Church—St. Peter’s Basilica. Among the
priceless wonders are Michelangelo’s Pietà,
Bernini’s fantastic bronze altar pillars and
mosaics that you’ll insist are painted with a
brush. Instead they’re made with millions of
tiny chips that are undetectable, even close up!
Tonight, enjoy dinner on your own. Be sure to
stop by my favorite Gelateria in Rome for some
nocciola (hazelnut) ice cream! “Il Gelato di San
Crispino,” located on Via della Panetteria. BB
DAY 5 – Tuesday Castelli Romani
Just outside of Rome are the Castelli Romani
—old fortified villages set among chestnut
trees, vineyards, olive groves and lakes.
In ancient times, these were the vacation
towns of the Roman noblemen and the Popes.
We drive south of the city, along the Appian
way, to the charming town of Genzano.
We stop to view the Lake of Nemi, dedicated
to the pagan goddess Diana and famous for its
succulent wild strawberries. Next we visit the
Castel Gandolfo, the Pope’s summer residence.
Bramante Staircase in the Vatican
On to Marino, famous for its wine festival
where real wine flows freely from the fountain
in the main square.
Finally, we come to Frascati. We will enjoy a
stroll through this quaint town, and afterwards,
we will have a light lunch with some famous
wine from this area at the lovely Fontana
Candida Restaurant/Winery in Monte Porzio.
Tonight, you’re free to enjoy dinner on
your own. But, I highly recommend
you try my two favorite dishes in Rome:
1. Spaghetti alla Carbonara, a pasta dish which
has a creamy sauce made of egg, cheese and
guanciale 2. Saltimbocca alla Romana: Veal
cooked with white wine, sage and prosciutto.
Buon appetito! BB, L

Rome Papal Audience (when available)
This morning we head to the Vatican;
this time for a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Pope Francis announced an extraordinary
Holy Year ten years in advance, a historic event.
Jubilee is a special year of remission of sins and
universal pardon. What a special time to be
at the Vatican!
Experience the awe and wonder of the
Papal Audience as Cardinals preach in various
languages reaching out to pilgrims and visitors
from all over the world. Listen to the Pope’s
weekly message as he enters the central stage.
Tonight we enjoy a fun dinner. You will
get a taste of Italian cuisine in a familystyle restaurant in the characteristic area
of Trastevere, one of the centers of Roman
nightlife! This lively area of tiny winding
streets gives a taste of what one imagines Italy
to be like, with cobblestone streets and music
filled trattorias on every corner. You will surely
remember this evening, with actors shouting
from balconies while you enjoy delicious
Roman style specialties and, of course,
wines fit for the Roman Gods. BB, D

ancient Greek sculptures, medieval tapestries
and Renaissance paintings. Our visit culminates
in the Sistine Chapel, the room where
the Pope is elected.
Next we visit St. Peter’s Basilica, by far the
largest church in Christendom. We’ll see
Michelangelo’s Pietà, sculpted when he was

brutal entertainment of the gladiators and the
lions, refereed by the Emperor himself.
Tonight we thought you’d enjoy a dinner
on your own. Ask your tour guide for a nearby
recommendation, or venture out and explore
the lively local restaurants in Rome! Be sure to
try a supplì , a quintessential Roman specialty:
a fried ball of rice filled with tomato sauce,
meat and melted mozzarella. BB

the tragic fossils of the people attempting to
escape with their children and dogs. And the
streets, homes and stores that are intact.

(weather permitting). We cruise around the
magnificent Faraglioni, Capri’s most iconic
sight. These mythical towering rock formations,
which jut out from the Mediterranean just off
the island’s coast, were formed over the years
by erosion from ocean waves. Next, we visit one
of the lesser-known but equally beautiful sea
caves, the Grotta Bianca. Once we arrive back on
Capri, we have free time to explore the island on

Our day of sightseeing includes the majestic
Duomo built in 1296, Giotto’s Bell Tower and
the Baptistery with its renowned Gates of
Paradise doors.
We follow the medieval streets to the most
striking square in Florence, Piazza della
Signoria, home of Santa Croce Church,
Michelangelo’s final resting place.
“Breathtaking” is the only word to describe
one’s first view of Michelangelo’s David. Yes, it’s
quite large and detailed. But the real magic is in
how Michelangelo transformed a lifeless rock
into a man—full of pride, wary of his adversary,
yet quietly confident. All with just a hammer
and a chisel!
Our last night together will be at a popular
Florentine restaurant with great Tuscan wines.

While the ambitious city of Florence was
launching the Renaissance, Siena was her
laid back country cousin. Just 30 miles
south of Florence, she is considered the
best preserved medieval city in Italy.
Our guided tour will include the elaborately
carved Gothic cathedral, Town Hall and Piazza
del Campo—site of the famous Palio horse
race. You’ll have time for lunch on your own,
shopping and a little more exploration.
This afternoon we’ll visit a typical Tuscan
winery to learn about the grape, the nose,
food pairings and more importantly—
which glass to use! We’ll enjoy a wine
tasting with these special wines along
with an early light dinner. Cin-Cin! BB, D

via Vomero Hill overlooking the sapphire Bay of
Naples, Capri and proud Vesuvius. We enjoy a

This morning you’ll be taken to Capri, the

by erosion from ocean waves. Next, we visit one

caves, the Grotta Bianca. Once we arrive back on

The David ➤ Dinner Out
Florence—the fountainhead of the
Renaissance, awaits our inspection! Our day of

with its renowned Gates of Paradise doors.
We follow the medieval streets to the most
striking square in Florence, Piazza della
Signoria, home of Santa Croce Church,
Michelangelo’s final resting place.
“Breathtaking” is the only word to describe
one’s first view of Michelangelo’s David. Yes, it’s
quite large and detailed. But the real magic is in
how Michelangelo transformed a lifeless rock
into a man—full of pride, wary of his adversary,
yet quietly confident. All with just a hammer
and chisel!
Tonight, we’ll take you to our favorite local
restaurant or a typical Tuscan dinner. BB, D

back to the 1200s. Next to Florence! Home
of Dante, Boccaccio, Botticelli, Da Vinci,
and some say, the best gelato in Italy!
Back at the hotel, our tour director is happy
to offer this evening’s restaurant suggestions.
Perhaps, world famous Florentine steak?
“Bistecca alla Fiorentina.” BB
Day 7 – Thursday Florence ➤
City Sightseeing including The David
Florence, the fountainhead of the Renaissance,
awaits our inspection.
Our day of sightseeing includes the majestic
Duomo built in 1296, Giotto’s Bell Tower and
the Baptistery with its renowned Gates of
Paradise doors.
We follow the medieval streets to the most
striking square in Florence, Piazza della
Signoria, home of Santa Croce Church,
Michelangelo’s final resting place.
“Breathtaking” is the only word to describe
one’s first view of Michelangelo’s David. Yes, it’s
quite large and detailed. But the real magic is in
how Michelangelo transformed a lifeless rock
into a man—full of pride, wary of his adversary,
yet quietly confident. All with just a hammer
and a chisel.
You’ll be sure to find a perfect Florentine
dinner spot tonight. BB
Day 8 – Friday Florence ➤ Pisa ➤ Wine
Tasting & Light Dinner ➤ Florence
The bell tower of Pisa is among the most
instantly recognizable structures on earth.
Architects say it would be world famous even
if it were perfectly straight. This morning we’ll
see for ourselves, along with the beautiful
Cathedral and Baptistery.
This afternoon we’ll visit a typical Tuscan
winery to learn about the grape, the nose,
food pairings and, most importantly—which
glass to use! We’ll enjoy a light Tuscan dinner
along with these fine wines. Cin-Cin!
We’ll return to Florence for some free time.
Tonight, ask your tour director for a nearby spot
to enjoy fresh Tuscan fare. BB, D
Day 9 – Saturday
Florence ➤ Sorrento
Our journey to Sorrento takes us through the
rolling hills, scenic vineyards and postcard
perfect vistas of Tuscany and Umbria. Soon
we are in Sorrento, high on a beautiful plateau,
greeted by the sapphire blue Gulf of Naples
and majestic Mount Vesuvius.
When most Americans think of Italian food,
they’re usually thinking of the dishes of Naples
and Sorrento—spaghetti with tomato and basil,
mozzarella and pizza are from this area. BB

sight. These mythical towering rock formations,
which jut out from the Mediterranean just off
the island’s coast, were formed over the years
by erosion from ocean waves. Next, we visit
one of the lesser-known but equally beautiful
sea caves, the Grotta Bianca. Once we arrive
back on Capri, we have free time to explore
the island on our own or take advantage
of a special optional excursion with your
tour leader.
Tonight, still glowing from the sun, it’s time to
enjoy another fine gastronomic experience. BB

Our visit culminates in the Sistine Chapel,
the room where the pope is elected. We
enter in total silence, not wanting to disturb
Michelangelo’s famed frescoes, depicting
stories from the Bible and the End of Times.
You’ll be fascinated by which of Michelangelo’s
contemporaries he assigned to heaven
and which to hell.
We’ll also visit St. Peter’s Basilica. We’ll see
Michelangelo’s Pietà, sculpted when he was
just 24, and Bernini’s seven-story bronze
canopy soaring high above the main altar.

Sample Airfares
Air Upgr ade At Affordable Prices
Airfares are unpredictable and impossible to estimate at time
of brochure printing. Your airfare can range anywhere from
approximately $400 to $950 depending on your departure city.
Additionally, current departure tax and fuel surcharges are running
approximately $650 per person and are subject to change.
When you purchase your Coach ticket through Perillo Tours,
you can upgrade to “Classica Plus” or “Premium Economy” on select
flights starting at $250 each way. For ultimate comfort enjoy Business
Class/First-Class for a surcharge of as little as $3000 per person.
Live it up a little!
Your exact airfare will be advised within 3 business days of
booking your tour. You are under no obligation to accept Perillo’s
air schedule and quote. However, payment for tickets issued by
Perillo Tours is due with final payment.
***Airline Security Measure***
Airfares DO include your round-trip airport transfer in Italy at
scheduled times, provided you arrive and depart on scheduled
tour dates. If you wish to arrive earlier or extend your stay,
airport transfers are not included.
Book Early!
We strongly recommend you BOOK EARLY as lowest airfares
are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Plus, more availability on
the most convenient flights and best seats.

The transportation Security Administration requires all
passengers to provide the exact name as it appears on the
government-issued passport, passport number, expiration date,
date-of-birth and gender when making airline reservations. This
information will be requested at time of booking for all flight
arrangements made through Perillo Tours.
CRITICALLY IMPORTANT: Name corrections are subject to change
fees, so please have your passport in-hand when calling us for
flight reservations.
INFORMATION AND RESERVATIONS. TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT. Receipt of a deposit
of $350 per person, and signed contract is required
to hold your reservation. The balance is due 60 days
before departure. For bookings made within 30 days
of departure, payment must be made by certified
bank check or credit cards. For bookings made within
21 days of departure, you will be charged the cost of
sending documents by express mail.
CHARGES FOR CANCELED AIR TICKETS. If you
cancel your air ticket purchased from Perillo Tours
you will be charged a $300 cancellation penalty.
This charge is subject to change and is not covered
by the Perillo Protection Plan. If Perillo Tours buys an
instant-purchase, published airfare on your behalf,
you will be responsible for any cancellation penalties
which are often 100% of the ticket cost.
PRICES. All prices are subject to increase up to the
receipt of final payment due to any increase in our
costs, such as, but not limited to: increases in air,
land or sea fares, fuel cost, and currency fluctuations.
All taxes, fuel surcharges, security charges and any
other taxes or charges imposed by airlines, airports,
cruise lines, governments, etc. are not included in
price. After final payment the only price increases
can be for newly imposed governmental taxes.
Gratuities not specifically mentioned are excluded.
REFUND. All refunds are conditioned upon the
express condition that you release us from all further
liability and you thereby waive all additional rights
and remedies under this contract or any applicable
state, federal or foreign law.
UNUSED TOUR ELEMENTS. No refund will be given
for any unused tour features, whether because of
customer’s choice, operational reasons, because of
bad weather or any other reason.
ERRORS. In case of printing, typographical error,
computer error, verbal or human billing error, we
reserve the right to invoice or re-invoice participants
with corrected billing.
TICKET REVISION/CANCELLATION FEE. Once
air tickets are issued, a $300 per ticket revision/
cancellation fee will apply to each ticket plus the cost
of express mail charges. This charge is not covered
by the Perillo Protection Plan and subject to change.
HOLIDAYS AND CHANGES. During local or national
holidays abroad, certain facilities such as museums,
sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited. In
such instances, and whenever possible, itinerary
adjustments may be made by Perillo Tours to
minimize inconvenience to tour members. If
however, your enjoyment might be diminished by
such limitations, please check with the appropriate
tourist office before selecting a departure. Holidays,
closing days and other circumstances may change
the day of the week for scheduled “dining out,”
sightseeing and other activities.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS. United States citizens
require a valid passport when traveling to Europe
and Central America. Non-citizens have other
requirements which should be checked immediately.
BAGGAGE. Each tour member is limited to one
large suitcase and one small carry on due to
limited baggage area on buses. Some airlines are

overweight suitcases. Please check your airline’s
website for current information. Perillo Tours does
not take responsibility for lost or damaged luggage.
