Dear Student:
Thank you for enquiring about our LSAT test preparation courses.
The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is unlike any test you have
ever written. Through a standardized yet unconventional question
format, the LSAT tests logical reasoning skills, analytical reasoning
skills, and reading comprehension skills. The LSAT is administered
four times a year, in February, June, October, and December. To
register for the exam, please contact the Law School Admission
Council (LSAC) by telephone at 215-968-1001 or online at
www.lsac.org.
Our intensive 30-hour courses and 48-hour courses are wellorganized, challenging courses designed for students who wish to
maximize their competitive position in relation to other students
writing the LSAT. We focus on building the skills you need to master
the LSAT. Our dynamic instructors give you a comprehensive
understanding of each section of the LSAT, cover tactics specific to
individual sections, and review strategies which apply to the test as a
whole.
If you want a competitive edge over other students writing the LSAT,
consider Oxford Seminars. We maintain the highest standards for all
our instructors and only select and train those instructors who have
years of distinguished teaching experience and who have
demonstrated outstanding achievement on the LSAT. We have
successfully taught thousands of students. Our courses are held on
university campuses across Canada.
“I definitely would
recommend this course; it
gave me the motivation
to study and the
strategies to succeed.”
Our research department has compiled a summary profile of all law
schools across Canada. In our continuing efforts to assist students
with the entire law school application and admissions process, we
have enclosed a copy of our useful profiles.
A word of caution from our knowledgeable instructors about
commercially available LSAT preparation materials: unfortunately,
much of this material is poorly researched and does not reflect the
current test. Our written materials are constantly updated to reflect the
most recent changes in the LSAT.
Please review the enclosed information and contact us if you have any
further questions. To register for any upcoming course, call our office
or complete and return the attached registration form. We look
forward to hearing from you.

Limited Class Size
In order to ensure a low student-to-instructor ratio, our LSAT test prep courses have a limited enrolment with spaces allocated
on a first-come-first-served basis. The small class size provides a comfortable setting with ample opportunity for interaction
with our talented and experienced LSAT course instructors.
Practice LSAT Exam Tests with Review of Questions
Our courses conclude with the writing of full-length practice LSAT exams during which testing conditions are carefully
reproduced. This provides our students with an excellent opportunity to practise and master (under LSAT exam conditions) the
many skills they have acquired during the weekend course.
Please visit our website at www.oxfordseminars.ca for more information.

Our Talented and Experienced LSAT Course Instructors
Oxford Seminars maintains the highest standards for all of our course instructors. We hire and extensively train only the most
qualified instructors who have not only scored in the top 2% of all LSAT test-takers, but who also have years of distinguished
teaching experience.
From critically evaluating logical reasoning passages and drawing well-supported conclusions, to applying effective
diagramming techniques and identifying structural flaws and errors in arguments, our instructors focus on teaching you the
critical skills you need to master the LSAT.
At the end of each and every LSAT prep course, our students are asked to evaluate our teaching staff. They tell us that they
find our course instructors approachable, highly knowledgeable, and able to present difficult material in a dynamic, useful, and
creative manner which facilitates learning and understanding.
Personal LSAT Tutoring Available
For those students who have particular difficulty with any aspect of the LSAT exam, we offer individual tutoring sessions with
one of our highly skilled LSAT course instructors.
In addition to the extensive home study materials, which every student receives, we also make available for purchase
additional LSAT practice materials from the Law School Admission Council. These valuable resources will assist you in
further study.
Free Repeat Policy
All of our LSAT test preparation courses include a no hassle free repeat policy which allows students to repeat the entire
course for a second time, free of charge, within one year of their original course start date. Once you have taken any of our
LSAT courses, you may repeat that course, free of charge, at any time for any reason within the next 12 months. Some students
take advantage of this policy to review and re-attend our test prep course for double the preparation, prior to writing the LSAT,
for one low price.
In order to ensure a low student-to-instructor ratio, we ask free repeat students to contact us in advance to reserve their place in
the upcoming LSAT test prep class. Free repeat students are asked to bring their original course materials and valid ID to class.

The Law School Admission Test
The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is a half-day, standardized exam administered four times each year by the Law
School Admission Council (LSAC) at designated testing centres throughout the world, but primarily in Canada, the United
States, and the Caribbean. Most Canadian law schools along with all American Bar Association (ABA) approved law schools
require the LSAT as part of their admissions process.
The LSAT provides a standard measure of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that law schools use as a primary factor
in assessing applicants. The test itself is comprised of numerous questions designed to assess a wide range of abilities involved
in critical thinking, with an emphasis on the skills that are central to legal reasoning. These skills include:
 the reading and comprehension of complex text with accuracy and insight
 the organization and management of information and the ability to draw reasonable inferences from it
 the ability to think critically
 the analysis and evaluation of the reasoning and arguments of others

The LSAT is scored on a scale of 120 - 180 points. To put the score scale in
perspective, the University of Toronto, for example, is looking for a potential
candidate to have a score of approximately 167. The University of Victoria would
be in the 163 range whereas the University of Ottawa does not require a minimum
LSAT score of their applicants. The weight given to the LSAT will vary according
to the other elements in each applicant’s file. Be sure to read the Canadian Law
School Profiles in this package for more information about all law schools across
the country.
