Main downtown Optimistclubsa.org No Lunch Meeting The San Antonio Optimist Page 2 Vet TRIIP—Serving Veterans and Families with Post-Traumatic Stress and Chronic Pain The Vet TRIIP provides free, community-based integrative immersion programs for veterans, service members, their families and service providers living with Post-Traumatic Stress and chronic pain. There are three programs: Integrative Immersion Process (IIP) Sessions, Stage 2 Sessions and Stage 3 Classes for short, medium and long term relief of symptoms. Since January, 2012, over 90 volunteer healthcare professionals have volunteered over 2167 days of services to provide over 3000 individual IIP/Stage 2 Sessions for 800+ veterans, service members and their families with over 90% of the recipients reporting benefits. Dottie Goodsun, MEd, and Bob Deschner, MS, are co-developers of the Vet TRIIP Programs, beginning in 2008. Dottie has been an educaBob Deschner and Dottie Goodsun tor for over 40 years, spending the last 16 years working with nutrition, energy psychology and complementary and integrative medicine (CIM) programs. Bob is a classically trained research chemical engineer/chemist who has been actively investigating practical applications of CIM applications for over 40 years, from nutrition and the inflammatory disease metabolism to energy-based modalities for health, including magnetic products and qigong. With the belief that everything improves with relaxation, more comfort and better sleep, Vet TRIIP has been training people to take better care of themselves and to create Healthy, Happy, and Productive Civilian Lives.
