CHEERLEADING:
Join us for two weeks of intensive writing instruction that equips students with tools of
structure and style. After learning these valuable and effective skills, students will
strengthen their abilities through a motivating essay assignment titled "Planning for
Success." This high energy class improves the writing of all students, whether they are
weak or accomplished writers! Some homework is required. Min. 4.
Fee: $300 ($285 Early Bird*)

Jump Start is a foundational one-week class designed to give your child a “Jump Start” to
the next grade level he or she will be entering in the fall of 2013. For more information

Join WSA cheerleading staff for this fun and challenging week of skill development and team
building. Coaches will focus on motions, tumbling, stunting and jumping. These
cheerleaders will spend a week learning material that will be showcased at an end of the
week performance. Older students will begin preparation for the fall cheer season.

Want to really excel at basketball? Join us for a five-day action-packed camp that focuses on
technical training and advanced game play strategies through drills and fun competitions.

Join WSA Head Football Coach Andrew Bryan and staff for a week of fun, skill development
and game play. Players will learn the fundamentals of blocking, tackling, positional play and
team offensive/defensive concepts in a safe and fun environment. Middle School students
will use skills learned in the fall season.

Join four-time WSA state champion and Head Boys Soccer Coach Mike Freace and staff for
an exclusive camp that focuses on individual instruction, technical training and small sided
games to improve each player’s abilities and confidence. Coach Freace holds the NSCAA
Advanced National Diploma and the NSCAA State Goalkeeping Diploma. This is also a great
opportunity for players to prepare for the club season.

Tennis Camp provides both beginning and advanced players
the opportunity to improve their tennis game in a fun, small group environment. All campers
will receive instruction on the fundamentals of tennis while developing their skills, learning
ball control and stroke techniques.

Camp Wildcat
Camp Wildcat provides a
community-oriented environment

the fifth grade. With activities

outdoor adventure trips and
games, Camp Wildcat’s programs
are engaging for any age. Each
session has a different theme to
offer variety for our veteran
campers.

Session 1: The Great Adventure | June 3-7
Pack your bags, because we’re off to the Camp Wildcat campsite. This
week we will discuss responsibility and truth as we discover new
adventures and explore the great outdoors.
Session 2: All Around the World | June 10-14
Are you ready to travel to the far corners of the globe? Join us as we
explore the world in five short days as we visit different countries and
discuss God’s vast love. Grab your passport and get ready to have fun!
Session 3: Science Discovery Week | June 17-21
Experiment with something new or use your imagination to create some
out-of-this world invention of your own. Join us for this hands-on week as
we also discover that God uses science to teach us about Himself.
Session 4: The Mystery of the Westminster Castle | June 24-28
Calling all detectives, knights and princesses to help unravel the mystery
behind the Westminster Castle. Accompany our royal court as the mystery
unfolds and we learn about the majesty of our great King.
Session 5: We’ve Got Talent | July 8-12
What is your talent? Each camper will learn how special they are as they
spend the week honing old talents and discovering new ones. At the end
of the week, campers can perform in the Camp Wildcat Talent Show.
Session 6: Up, Up & Away | July 15-19
5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - Blast Off! Join us as we explore God’s wonderful
universe. Space trainees will put their adventure skills to the test during
our week-long shuttle mission.

CHOREOGRAPHY
& DANCE
Learn how to create choreography and the basic skills of modern dance in an exhilarating,
hands-on environment. The camp will cover the fundamentals of movement, stretching and
rhythm as the students learn the secrets behind creating choreography. The class will
conclude with a mini-recital on the last day of the camp which will include four different styles
of dance. No previous dance or choreography experience is required.

Get ready to create online masterpieces! The demand for individuals with online production
and development skills grows as billions of dollars are spent every year in the creation and
up-keep of blogs/websites. Each student will leave this camp with the basics of web design
through creating their own blog and/or webpage. Min.5/Max. 10.

SCULPTURE
Summer Ceramics and Sculpture is an intense and fun two-week program where students
will learn advanced techniques in 3D art making, create completed works of clay art and
learn about the history of sculpture. Campers will create pottery by throwing on the kick
wheel (reserved exclusively for our summer classes). Off-campus field trips will take students
to meet with a local artist and explore local art. Price includes the materials fee. Upper
School students may earn a quarter of fine arts credit for completing this summer session.

basics of acting through dynamic theatre games, group activities, improvisation and

students you’ve seen on stage! The week ends with a hilarious performance from the entire
group. Don’t miss this fun-filled week.

Join Mr. Greiner for an exciting, hands-on class that your scientist will love. The students will
use a variety of problem-solving skills to work through activities that will involve concepts of
life science, chemistry, physics and much more. What student wouldn’t want to watch
explosions, play with edible science and be in a few competitive challenges? Max. 15.

In Junior Lego Robotics Camp, children will learn how motors work through building fun,
motorized creations. Campers will discover how to control their creations using infrared
sensors and remote controls, along with the basics of programming their motorized models
with computers. Model options will vary, but will include exciting themes such as a motorized
R2D2 from Star Wars, a Spinning Ninja Star from Ninjago and MORE!

In this NXT-based space adventure, campers will design, build and program their robots to
work through light, touch, ultrasonic and sound sensors using the NXT line of Lego Robotics.
This robotic feat will lead campers on a mechanical endeavor that reveals how exciting math,
science, technology and teamwork can be. At the end of the week, campers will apply their
new robotic skills to complete training missions on the moons surrounding the fictional
planet Pantheon. Min. 4/ Max. 8.

Young Artist Camp is a fun and creative two-week-long program where campers will learn
basic techniques in clay building, creating mosaics and other artworks. Campers will create
several completed works of art and have the exclusive opportunity to create their own

off-campus field trip. Price includes the materials fee. Min. 5/Max. 10.

Come rock the kitchen in style! The {Arts} of Cooking (formerly known as Cooking and Crafts)
is an interactive cooking and crafts camp designed for chefs of all ages and skill levels. Our
new chefs will get to be artists in the kitchen and the classroom as we explore both the joys
of cooking and crafts. Campers will learn new cooking techniques and will use their palate to
create their own healthy cooking recipes. This camp combines all the right ingredients for a
fun time. Price includes the materials fee.

ARTS
Westminster Summer Programs and the Augusta Ballet join together to offer a dance and
cooking class that everyone will love. Campers will dance the day away as they learn the
basic steps of classical and contemporary ballet along with hip-hop and Latin dance. Lunch
will be served in style as each camper will create their own healthy masterpiece. No previous
dance experience is required. A recital will be held on the final day. Camp will be located in
Downtown Augusta -- exact location to be announced.

This program will help students explore their summer reading assignments while developing
skills associated with reading comprehension, literary analysis and composition. Students
must complete assigned summer reading prior to class. Min. 5.

Study Skills focuses on the concepts of organization,
time management, goal setting, note taking, testing,
essay writing and study skills. Each day, students will
work in blocks focusing on a certain skill set. Students
keep a notebook all week and can use the materials
when they begin the new school year. This class is
especially important for rising sixth-graders.
