Becoming skillful at soccer does not happen overnight. The development
of strong technical skills is the foundation for achieving soccer excellence.
Without the execution of good technique, a player can never attain his/her
potential as a player.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
WITH VETTA SPORTS CLUBS
Technical skills (fast footwork) will be extremely helpful. Fast footwork is the
foundation in developing skills, coordination, timing, balance, ball feeling,
quickness, dribbling, and creativity.
Fast players can play very slow,
slow players can play very fast,
if you master ball control.

In consideration of being allowed, to participate in any way in Westchester Tennis and Sports L.L.C., and
athletic/sports programs and related activities, the undersigned:

believe anything is unsafe, they will immediately advise their coach or supervisor of such condition(s) and
refuse to participate.
B. Acknowledge and fully understand that each participant will be engaging in activities that involve risk of
serious injury, including permanent disability and death and severe social and economic losses which
might result not only from their own actions, inactions or negligence of others, the rules of play or the
condition of the premises or of any equipment used. Further, that there may be other risks not known to us
or not unreasonably foreseeable at this time.
C. Assume all forgoing risks and accept personal responsibility for the damages following such injury, permanent disability or death.
D. Release, waive, discharge and covenant not to litigate Westchester Tennis and Sports L.L.C., and its affiliated clubs, their respective administrators, directors, agents, coaches and other employees of the organization, other participants, sponsors, advertisers and if applicable, owners and leases of premises used to
conduct the event, all of which are hereinafter referred to as “releases,” from demands, losses or damages
on account of injury, including death or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or
in part by the negligence of the releasee or otherwise.

Fast Footwork times for this upcoming season:
Don Popovic’s
accomplishments include 23 years of coaching professional
soccer. Don’s experience includes coaching the World All Star
Outdoor Team vs. Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain. Players on
Don’s World All Star Team include: Johan Cruyff, Karl-Heins
Rummenigge, Giorgio Chinaglia, Platini, Franz Beckenbauer,
Hans Miller, and many other world class players. Don also
coached the World Indoor All Star Team vs. teams from Brazil,
England, Germany, and France. Players of this World All Star Team include: Nene,
Eusebio, Bobby Morre, Derek Dougan, Bob Wilson, and Manuel Fernandez to name
a few.
Don coached North American Soccer League (NASL) and Major Indoor Soccer League
(MISL) teams including the New York Arrows where his team won 4 consecutive
MSL Championship. In 1982, Don’s .815 winning percentage was the best of any
professional sport in North America. With the San Jose Earthquakes, Coach Popovic’s
team set a North American Soccer League record by winning 16 of 16 home games.
He also coached the (NASL) Rochester Lancers. His Rochester team made it into the
league semi finals, and finally were defeated by the world famous New York Cosmos.
Don also coached the Las Vegas Americans, the St. Louis Storm, and the Pittsburgh
Spirit in the MISL. He coached Toronto where he won the Canadian Cup, National
Soccer League of Canada.

Don was a 3 time MSL All Star Team Coach and Coach of the Year in the North
American Soccer League and MISL. Coach Popovic is now coaching select soccer at the
youth level. He has been coaching within the Lou Fusz Soccer Club for over 23 years.
With the Lou Fusz Soccer Club, he has won over 20 State Championships, 2 Regional
Championships, and a National Finalist.

Technology. 2-time 2nd team all-conference selection.
• Won the Great Lakes Valley Conference and was selected to
play in the Div. II NCAA Tournament.
• Selected to NSCAA All-Midwest Regional team.
• GLVC’s Council of President’s Academic Excellence Award.
• Played 13 consecutive seasons for the Lou Fusz Soccer Club and earned two state
titles while playing for coaches Don Popovic and Chris Stocker.
