April 2014 Grubstake - West Coast Prospectors and Treasure
The Grubstake www.westcoaster.org April 2014 Volume 29 Number 10 President’s Message: Rendezvous 2014 is just around the corner and the coins are all bought, registrations are arriving daily from all over the west coast, and final arrangements are coming together nicely. This will be another great event and provide the funds needed for the club to continue to operate this year. But we still need your help to make this event successful and share in the work load. I expect all members to make an effort to drive out (its only an hour away) and pitch in even if only for a couple of hours. We can use help with setup on Friday starting around noon. Help all day Saturday with planting the hunt field and manning the booths, cooking food, handing out prizes, overseeing the hunt field and much more. Sunday morning is more of the same and then we have cleanup and tear down around noon. Friday we set up all the fields and booths and had the early bird hunt. It was a bright and sunny day, warm at night. Saturday was damp, dark, rainy and muddy. But the hunts went on and we all had a good time. Sunday the sun was out again, the mud was gone and the last hunts’ went well. There was nothing but good things said about our Rendezvous.
