You must preregister using the adult registration form on the web site to attend. The class is free for Readington Recreation coaches, the fee is $40 for coaches from other organizations. READINGTON COMMUNITY GARDEN - JOIN US Meets every Saturday 10am-Noon, from mid-March to mid-October Rules very loose to accommodate busy schedules - regular attendance not required, kids welcome, no mandatory fees, work as little or as much as you like, choose what you’d like to work on, etc. and take home great organic food!! Cost: $125, must provide your own racket High School Tennis Challenge (coed grades 9-12) will work towards refinement of fundamental technique while developing a thorough tactical knowledge of both the singles and doubles game. Advanced shots - including spin, lob and drop shots - will be introduced, expanding each player's ability to perform point winning strokes during match play situations. On-court conditioning, speed and agility work will be incorporated into each class. This class is for high intermediate and advanced players only. Smaller courts, lighter and lower bouncing balls, and smaller and lighter racquets make it easy and fun for our little players to hit and play right from the start! LEGO STAR WARS & MOTORIZED MACHINES Ages 6-11 Date: 8/15-8/19 Time: 9:00-Noon Cost: $130.00 Instructor: Super Science Staff Lego Star Wars & Motorized Machines (ages 6-12) Lego enthusiastis, have fun building your favorite adventure from a Star Wars galaxy that is far, far away. Star Wars projects will vary depending upon availability from LEGO headquarters, but will include age appropriate New Models and the best of some of the older models. Campers will also build a wide assortment of nonStar War motorized LEGO education machines. All campers will take home a LEGO Star Wars Project. In this all-new engineering camp, you will have fun integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics by building and designing a wide range of gadgets and inventive ball machines. Projects include the Hookshot Ball Machine, Ball – launching catapult, forklift ball machine, pick and drop ball machine and Rube Goldberg inventions where students will design complex contraptions that complete a simple task. Learning concepts center around machines, force and motion, energy, and more. Projects and contraptions will be designed with the allnew VEX machine curriculum. NEW CREATIVE THEATRE Ages 7-11 Date: 8/8-8/12, one week Have you ever wanted to star in a play you helped create? Join us this summer, as students learn all about theatre by doing it themselves! Children are guided, by the instructors, through a process where they play theatre games, create a story, and work together to make that story into a working theatrical production. The participants create their own character, plot, props, costumes, title, and everything else that's needed to make the production complete. You get to play the part you have always dreamed of! The final day is a performance of their original play for parents, family, and anyone else who wishes to come.
