Woodstock, Basics and You:
Help Grow Non-GMO
According to the Non-GMO Project,
80% of all processed food in the United
States is now genetically modified- and
no specific labeling is required. Woodstock and the National Cooperative
Grocers Association’s July “Plant the
Seed” campaign aims to inform consumers about the importance of
labeling GMOs in our foods.
From July 1 (Super Tuesday) through
July 31 at Basics, while supplies last,
enter to win a Woodstock wagon and
receive a packet of organic Non-GMO
Project verified corn seeds! No
purchase is necessary to enter the
drawing. The seed packet includes a
coupon for $1 off any Woodstock
product.
Woodstock believes organic and
non-GMO crops are vital to a healthy
future for the next generation- they will
also give away 100 “Plant the Seed” kits
to schools and community groups, to
help educate kids about organic gardening and the importance of
non-GMO crops. To enter your classroom or youth group visit Woodstock’s
Facebook page (www.facebook.com/
WoodstockFoods). You can also view
their educational app about GMOs,
share important information with
others, and take the pledge to “Help
Grow Non-GMO!“
Woodstock, Basics and NCGA are
aiming to spread the word, one seed at
a time. It’s your food and you have a
right to know what’s in it! Get informed,
tell your friends and family and join the
movement. Together everyone can
“Help Grow Non-GMO!”
