2N Helios IP and Elastix Server Setup Guide http://www.elastix.org PaloSanto Solutions 2N Helios IP Server Setup Guide 1.0 Setup Diagram Figure 1-1 is a setup diagram for a single intercom 2N Helios IP configuration. Go to the web address of the Elastix Server Login page. The web address is determined by the user, for this guide we have used the IP address 192.168.5.186 2. On the Login page, type the username and password for an administrative user into the Username and Password fields, see Figure 4-1. The username and password are determined by the user. Figure 4-1. Login 3. Press Enter or click on the Submit button to go to Elastix’s Dashboard 4. Once inside, click on the PBX tab on the menu at the top of the screen Figure 4-2. Dashboard 3 PaloSanto Solutions 2N Helios IP Server Setup Guide 5. Click on the Submit button to add an extension, see Figure 4-3. This will take you to the Add SIP Extension page. Figure 4-3. On the Add SIP Extension page (Figure 4-4), fill in the following information: • User Extension (301 in this example) • Display Name (2NHeliosIP in this example) • secret (h7Dka3Rf9si0t in this example) Figure 4-4. The extension will be created and you will see the page on Figure 4-5 displaying the “Apply Configuration Changes Here” pink ribbon on top of the screen. 8. Click in the “Apply Configuration Changes Here” link Figure 4-5. Apply Configuration Changes Here 9. With this you have just finished creating a SIP extension that will be used by the 2N Helios IP to register with the Elastix Server. Repeat Steps 5 through 8 to similarly create another extension (different values on Step 6) to be used by the IP (SIP) Phone to register as well, we’ll use extension 302for it in this example. Once finished you will see something similar to Figure 4-6 Figure 4-6. 2N Helios IP and IP Phone extensions successfully created 10. To register the 2N Helios IP, you will need to enter the information from the extension created on the Elastix Server (Step 6) into the Helios IP by logging into the 2N Helios IP WebUI. Log in to the 2N Helios IP WebUI by pointing your browser to the 2N Helios’s IP address. For the initial configuration, refer to the 2N Helios IP User Manual which can be found at: http://www.2n.cz/download/2/3/8/4/2n-helios-ip-user-manual-pb1510-v1.11.1.18.pdf You can figure out the IP address by running any network scanner or packet capture software. When prompted, enter the Web Access Username and Web Access Password to access the WebUI (Figure 4-7). Figure 4-7. 2N Helios IP WebUI 12. Use the information from the Add SIP Extension page (Step 6) to enter the following necessary information on “Advance Setting => SIP Settings“ section of the 2N Helios IP WebUI (Figure 4.8): User Settings Display Name(2NHeliosIP in this example) User ID(301 in this example) Domain(Elastix Server’s IP Address, 192.168.5.186 in this example) Use Auth ID: Yes Auth ID(301 in this example) Password (h7Dka3Rf9si0t in this example) SIP Proxy Settings Proxy Address(192.168.5.186 in this example) Port: 5060 SIP Registration Register Helios IP: Yes 6 PaloSanto Solutions 2N Helios IP Server Setup Guide Figure 4-8. Account Configuration 13. Once you have entered the required information, click on ‘Submit’ button located at the end of the page on the right. To apply changes reboot the intercom by going to “Tools => Reboot device”. If the intercom is not able to register after rebooting, make sure you’ve entered the correct information. Confirm the registration in “Information” section (Figure 4-9). Figure 4-9. Information section 14. Once it is registered, we have to assign a number extension to the first quick dialing button on the 2N Helios IP. To do this go to “Basic Settings => Phone Book” and fill in the following information: 7 PaloSanto Solutions 2N Helios IP Server Setup Guide General Settings Position Enable: Yes Position Name (2NHeliosIP in this example) Phone Numbers Number 1(302 in this example) Number 2(Any other extension if you require) Number 3 (Any other extension if you require) Figure 4-10. Phone Book 15. Once you have entered the extension apply changes. 16. To test the 2N Helios IP call reception feature, pick up the previously configured IP (SIP) Phone and call the2N Helios IP’s extension number (301 in this example). When the call is established, speak into the phone and verify that your voice can be heard through the intercom and vice versa. 17. To test the 2N Helios IP call origination feature, press the first quick dialing button previously configured and the IP (SIP) Phone will start ringing. When the call is established, speak into the intercom and verify that your voice can be heard through the phone and vice versa. This step completes the procedure. 8
