This event recognizes the football, men’s basketball & women’s basketball programs of the Apprentice School, Christopher Newport University, College of William and Mary, Hampton University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University and Virginia Wesleyan College. The Hampton Roads Sports Commission Player of the Year Awards, presented by Vandeventer Black, will be awarded to the top offensive and defensive players within the region for each sport. Morgan was selected as one of four representatives from Southeastern Virginia to travel with Rotary Club District 7600 on their Group Study Exchange. For the month of April, Morgan will travel to Rio Grande do Sul to learn business and leadership techniques, meet city councils and learn about economic development while living with Brazil Rotarian families.
