11:30 AM
We want you to have as much fun as possible at Run or Dye, but we also
want to ensure your safety. The venue for this event is Poley Mountain,
located just outside of Sussex, NB. Since the run is taking place in a ski
area, there will be some uneven ground, grassy sections, gravel, and
dirt along with regular paved roads. The course does have a few hills
of varying steepness and length; as a result, please be advised that we
caution against the use of strollers and wheelchairs due to the difficulty of
the course. Run or Dye is not a race, it’s an untimed fun run for absolutely
everyone! You’re welcome to walk, run, dance, or skip your way through
the course, but one thing is for sure, you’ll be sweating by the time you
cross the finish line!

We send the first wave of Dye Runners to Race the Rainbow at 9:00 AM.
So that everyone gets the Run or Dye experience they deserve, we send
additional start waves every 5 or so minutes after that. Runners are sent on
a first come, first served basis -- so plan your morning accordingly! The last
wave leaves around 10:00 AM -- so you can get to the start chute between
9:00 AM and 9:45 AM!

GENERAL INFORMATION
Safety
1. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER: Be sure to drink plenty of
fluids before, during and after the race. Runners receive a
bottle of water at the finish line, but we strongly suggest
that you bring your own to stay hydrated before and
during the event as well.
2. USE COMMON SENSE WHEN THROWING DYE: Don’t
throw dye directly in people’s faces, don’t throw
dye at babies or service animals, don’t throw dye at
photographers with expensive equipment. If you see
anyone throwing dye inappropriately please report it to
a staff member.
3. REPORT SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR OR PEOPLE WHO
LOOK LIKE THEY MIGHT NEED ASSISTANCE: Run or
Dye participants are the best on the planet and we’ve
never had any problems at any of our races. Still, if you
see someone acting suspicious or endangering others,
please report it to a volunteer or staff member. If you
happen to run past someone who seems to be struggling
or appear to need medical assistance, let a volunteer or
staff member know so that we can get them the help they
might need.
4. DO NOT LEAVE BAGS ON THE GROUND: Any bags left
on the ground will be immediately confiscated by event
security, no exceptions!
Weather
We will hold Run or Dye as scheduled even if it is raining.
However, our first priority is your safety and there may be
occasions - such as high wind or lightning - that we will
postpone the run. If the weather looks threatening as we
lead up the event, keep your eyes on our Facebook page
and your email for updates.

What to wear
At Run or Dye you’re the canvas so wear whatever you
want! Lots of runners wear white to show off all the
colour while others come dressed in crazy costumes.
Just remember, whatever you wear will get covered
in coloured dye and while our dye is designed to be
washable, we don’t do your laundry...so wear something
that you don’t mind getting a little colourful!
Photo policy
We want you to make memories and take pictures! Your
smartphones and point and shoot cameras are welcome.
Professional camera equipment, including DSLRs, are
prohibited. There will be official event photographers all
over the course and at our Run or Dye photo booth. Look
for them in their orange T-shirts and even feel free to ask
them to take your picture!

new brunswick Charity Partner
Run or Dye is committed to leaving the world friendlier
and fitter than we found it. Every Run or Dye event
works closely with both local and national charities,
and non-profit organizations, partnering with a different
beneficiary in each city. After each event these groups
receive a donation to ensure that the good they do can
keep going in your community.
For Run or Dye New Brunswick we are excited to be
partnering with the JDRF/FRDJ!
About The JDRF/FRDJ
JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Driven by passionate, grassroots
volunteers connected to children, adolescents, and adults with this disease, JDRF is now the largest charitable supporter
of T1D research. The goal of JDRF research is to improve the lives of all people affected by T1D by accelerating progress
on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide
spectrum of partners who share this goal.
Since its founding in 1970 (1974 in Canada), JDRF has awarded more than $1.7 billion to diabetes research. Past JDRF
efforts have helped to significantly advance the care of people with this disease, and have expanded the critical scientific
understanding of T1D. JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. More than 80 per cent of JDRF’s expenditures
directly support research and research-related education.
