for that! Starkey app There’s a DISCOVer STARKEY’S SUITE OF APPS fOr ipHOne, ipaD Or ipOD tOuCH ® ® ® Soundpoint: As a hearing professional, you know that a successful hearing aid fitting depends on two things: a willing patient and your ability to make appropriate and satisfactory fine-tuning adjustments to meet his or her needs. SoundPoint, an interactive and intuitive software tool, allows your patient to become an active participant in his or her own hearing aid fitting as part of your overall fitting strategy. t2 remote: The T2 Remote application takes advantage of breakthrough technology from Starkey that allows users to control their digital hearing aids with a simple touch on their iPhone or iPod touch. This avoids the need for any additional hardware. T2 discreetly and instantly classifies the tone signal from the iPhone or iPod touch and automatically adjusts the hearing aid to the desired setting. SoundCheck: Do people seem to mumble more than they used to? Do you find yourself asking for things to be repeated? Do you have trouble understanding a conversation in noisy or crowded areas like a restaurant? SoundCheck is a hearing screener application that allows you to quickly evaluate your own hearing and the hearing of your family and friends to determine if it is within a normal range, or if you have potential hearing loss. aMp™ fit: This application is for fitting the AMP personal audio amplifier and should be used only by hearing professionals. Professionals can select one of four presets as a starting point for the fitting. Each preset is based on a specific audiometric configuration and compression scheme. This application provides the option to also control four parameters of the AMP devices: low frequency gain, high frequency gain, overall gain and output. Lifestyle Solutions: How do you help choose the best hearing device for your patient? The Lifestyle Solutions application allows your patient to become an active participant in the hearing aid selection process by allowing him or her to describe their individual lifestyle and drive toward the best hearing aid product that suits his or her needs. Wi Series®: This application provides several demonstrations that will benefit both hearing care professionals and their patients, while serving as an interactive user manual for Wi Series wireless hearing aids. Get started today by visiting the iTunes® App Store and entering “Starkey” in the search field, or call your Starkey Representative at 800.328.8602 to learn more. Hear Coach: Individuals with hearing loss tend to have increased difficulty understanding speech in noise and as a result experience communication breakdowns. Tasks like the ones in this game have been shown to help improve listening ability in noise. When people have improved listening in noise they don’t have to work as hard to hear and can relax and participate in conversations without straining, even in loud or busy environments. t2 On Demand: The T2 On Demand application is used for making basic programming adjustments to specific hearing aids that are configured to support T2 On Demand and should be used only by hearing professionals. This application uses DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) tones to apply the hearing aid adjustments. These are the same tones that are used on a telephone keypad. Adjustments can be made in the office, in the home, or even over the telephone. Starkey pediatrics: Kids discover so much when they’re engaged, confident and happy. The Starkey Pediatrics app is designed to help children and parents with the transition to wearing hearing aids as well as provide information about pediatric hearing loss and the options available for obtaining care. Included in the application are tools for the child, the parent, and the hearing professional: Hear Coach is a suite of listening games developed by Starkey; it features games that challenge both your cognitive and auditory sharpness. Hear Coach allows you to track your progress over time and unlock more difficult levels as your performance improves. A different background noise stimulus within each of the levels provides you with varying degrees of difficulty to help you train your auditory system in different environments. This app is designed to help people who think they might have a hearing loss, people who have new hearing aids, and even experienced hearing aid users who want to get the most out of their listening. This simple to use application is not only convenient, but it also allows hearing professionals to provide better service and elevates their interaction with patients. T2 On Demand is an entirely new and convenient way for hearing professionals to provide patient care and support. • A Parent Area with our Pediatrics Parent Guide that includes chapters on: o Your Child’s Hearing, Introduction to Starkey Pediatrics, Choices for Kids, Hearing Aids and How They Work, and Hearing Aid Fitting and Maintenance. • A Products Area that provides details on the available hearing aids, earmolds, and accessories available for children.
