ABRO presented uniforms to 410 children
CSR Newsletter from L&T Construction 2011 : October | November | December - Volume 1 Editor’s Note ‘When thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth’ . The biblical line glorifies the positive trait of oneself not taking the credit for providing charity to others – and on the contrary encourages one to just give and forget about it. But in our context, sharing information on various Corporate Social Initiatives carried out across hundreds of L&T project sites [we are not a single-campus entity], clusters, regions and many units of L&T Construction as well as the Prayas Trust has indeed proven to be a great boon. For, all the com- munication on E-zine has not only instantly shared information on diverse activities across the geography, it has also kindled the spirit of giving and sharing across. Programmes have been found to be worthy of ‘replication’, ‘emulation’ and have been carried out in a very competitive spirit as well! What’s more, all these Corporate Social Responsibly activities are happening well in the L&T’s immaculate style, and in no hindrance to projectexecution. After all, when there is a heart, there is a will and there is a way too. The L&T way! Top Story At a time when the corporate goal at L&T is to ‘scale up’ our activities and grow our beneficiaries, Communication has been a tool that has added the energy, vigor, force and speed while collecting minds and people together to this task of community development and welfare. This new quarterly tabloid from January 2012 aptly named ‘Reaching Out’, will consolidate the CSR activities carried out across L&T Construction & Prayas Trust. Also in keeping with the Sustainability Programme, ABRO presented uniforms to 410 children A BRO distributed school uniforms to over 410 municipal school children in Ahmedabad, an educational institution run by the Samvedana trust. On 20th October, the regional manager Mr. S. H. Vora distributed the uniforms to the children who in turn expressed their delight through a splendid dance performance. The ladies of Samvedna trust expressed their gratitude to the L&T team and presented a sacred Tulsi plant to the staff. this tabloid will have a limited print run and will be available as a ‘Web Publication’ for a wide spectrum of people inside and outside of L&T Construction.
