Skyline has two of Rotorua’s most spectacular wedding venues, each with that special ‘wow
factor’. Our dedicated function team has a passion to make your wedding an unforgettable
occasion for all!
Our Functions Coordinator is available to take care of all your event coordination and
requirements, starting from an initial quote to arranging anything from arrival by helicopter,
floral arrangements and centre pieces, through to the organisation of evening entertainment
and accommodation.
Our award-winning teams of chefs create innovative menu options to suit all needs and budgets.
Tempt your guest’s taste buds with a selection of mouth watering canapés or select one of our
elaborate buffet options. Set menus are available upon request.
Luge down to your venue or arrive by helicopter, the options are endless, so let Skyline Rotorua
make your wedding day exceptional and the most memorable day of your life.

About Rotorua and Our Skyline Property
Rotorua is located in the thermal wonderland of New Zealand. Skyline Rotorua is located on Fairy Springs Road, the main highway into
Rotorua from Auckland and five minutes from the city centre. Air New Zealand now has two direct flights Rotorua to Sydney along with
numerous domestic flights in and out of the city daily.
Skyline Rotorua has been in operation for 29 years and is one of New Zealand’s iconic tourist attractions. Access to Skyline’s upper complex
is by Gondola ride only, where visitors can participate in a range of activities including the world famous Skyline Luge, Sky Swing and the
Skyvue. An award-winning restaurant, relaxing Market kitchen, Volcanic Hills Winery and wine tasting room, souvenir shop and walking
tracks provide something for those wanting something a little less exhilarating.
Enjoy taking the eight-seater Doppelmayr Gondola to
the top of Mount Ngongotaha and Skyline’s upper
complex, 487 metres above sea level. Once there,
visitors can take in the 180 degree panoramic views of
Lake Rotorua, the city and surrounding district.
Skyline Luge is a world first, proudly designed and
manufactured in Rotorua. A fun-filled gravity ride on a
three-wheeled cart with a unique braking and steering
system, giving the rider full control. Riders return to
the upper complex by chairlift.
The Cableway system has a carrying capacity of 2000
passengers per hour and operates everyday The
and stops when the last restaurant guests leave in the
evening.

Our Skyline Restaurant provides one of the most stunning wedding venues in the city.
The restaurant can be divided into three separate sections dependent on the number of
guests, as per below.

Forest Function Venue
This stunning venue is situated half-way down the Scenic Luge Track and presents a
fantastic opportunity to host your guests at a wedding venue with a difference.
The venue is a spectacular white marquee with enclosed ‘see through’ sides. Keep your
guests warm with the two large gas brassiers within this custom built marquee.
All facilities can be found within this venue including a fully operational bar.
Hireage includes complimentary luge ride to the Forest Function Venue for guests or if
they are not Luge inclined, complimentary transport operates to the venue from the
Gondola Top Terminal.
For bridal parties, who do not want to Luge, we provide a van transfer.

Nuptials at Skyline
You may wish to consider holding your wedding ceremony here at Skyline. Having the best views of the city, Skyline’s location provides the ideal ceremony backdrop, with a number of
stunning locations on offer.

Skyline Helipad:
This venue offers a secluded and private location, views of Lake Rotorua and the city. *

Skyline Viewing Lawn:
In front of the Skyline building complex, with the gondola line running overhead. This location provides unique
photo opportunities, along with a stunning backdrop of Lake Rotorua and Mokoia Island. **
3.
Skyline Forest:
Located half way down the Scenic Luge Track under the towering Redwood trees. Brides have the option of
luging down to meet their husband-to-be or being driven down.
This venue has that special ‘x-factor’ **
