GENERAL TOUR INFORMATION
TTrip length: 11 Days / 10 Nights
Pad Yatra begins from 20th October and ends on 28th October.
Cost: 250 USD per head per night
SURCHARGES : Individuals and groups of less than 4 people are liable for a surcharge on the daily
tariff. As follows:
Single Individual : US $ 40 per night
Group of 2 persons : US $ 30 per night)
Inclusion: Government royalty, all meals, tea and snacks, accommodations (3* hotels), transport, permits, entrance fees, guide services and sightseeing.
Exclusions: Drukair fares, visa fee (US $40), phone/internet bills, insurance, drinks and beverages, tips
and other personal bills.

Arrival at Paro
The flight into Bhutan takes you to the great Himalayas, offering the most beautiful scenery of the
world's highest glacial peaks. On arrival at Paro Airport, you will be received by your tour guide
and Drukpa volunteers of Bhutan. You will drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan with area
of 2,067sq.km. Thimphu is also the name of the surrounding valley district. With a population of
104,214(2010), Thimphu Bhutan’s largest city. Thimphu is located at an altitude of 2320 m. / 7656 ft.
Have lunch at the Hotel and in the evening relax. Overnight at hotels in Thimphu

DAY 2 - DAY 10: (20 th-28th October, 2014)
Pad Yatra
The Pad Yatra begins with hike to Takthang, Ugyen Dra, and Bumdra.
The Taktsang monastery is perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley at an
altitude of 3180 meters. Guru Rinpoche (8th century spiritual master) is said to have flown on the back
of a tigress to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands.

Bumdra - where 100,000 Dakinis left their footprints.
Chumphu Nye.
This is the most sacred place of vajarayogni. Chumphu Nye is the second
tarsi-the vajara yogni statue is not resting on anything..its just float in the
air. That is because the statue is not
man-made. It is Vajara yogni (Dorji
Phamo) who appeared in person and
turned herself into statue. It is 30mins
drive to road head and 3 hrs easy
straight walk and 30 mins walk uphill.
