SpiritofDestin.com is a dynamic website with an innovative and
unique approach to all things Destin. Aric Treadwell and Tracie
Martin are Realtors® with Coldwell Banker JME Realty in Destin, FL.
Yet, SpiritofDestin.com offers something for everyone, not just those
who are looking to buy or sell property in the Destin area.
Aric and Tracie began a business partnership on SpiritofDestin.com
upon collaborating together on several real estate projects. They realized that they both had a deep
love of the Destin area and

to give back to the community
and share this appreciation
with others. “Tracie and I
already worked well together,
and shared the same work
ethic and dedication to excellence when partnering on real
estate transactions,” says Aric.
“We both love the Destin area
and realize that the lifestyle

and see beautiful blue-green
water, amazing sunsets, all
while feeling the cool white
sugar-sand between your toes
and the smell of local seafood
in the air? We decided the area
needed a site that reflects all
that our island atmosphere has
to offer and wanted to create a
‘one-stop shop’ for locals and
tourists to use to help them get
information that they need,”
adds Tracie. Aric agrees that
the Destin area’s spirit “can
never be tamed.”
In today’s marketplace, the
web is an indispensable tool.
Aric and Tracie wanted to combine the best of what the websites can
offer and put it directly in front of anyone looking to learn about
Destin. Spirit of Destin boasts many characteristics that set it apart
from the competition. Not only will the site be informative, most
uniquely, it will be interactive. It is a one-of-a kind site serving as a
forum for all that live in and love Destin. While there were many sites
dedicated to the area and portraying Destin in a positive light, they
wanted to launch a website that not only showcased the best of
Destin but also integrated many of the Web’s newest and most popular online communities available today. MySpace, YouTube, Blogspot,

and other creative forms of online expression encourage all users of
their site to interact with and become a part of SpiritofDestin.com
Video, message boards and blogging are integral components of Aric
and Tracie’s vision to create an online community for everyone who
lives or wants to learn about the area. According to Aric, “We wanted
to capture the spirit of the Destin area and to provide information
about our beautiful coastal community through a website designed to
be professional, playful and
interactive with all the activities offered in the area.” Tracie
added, “We wanted to implement the spirit of fun and professionalism in everything we
do and in everyone we meet.”
“It is this online participation
from both the local community and tourists that will help
keep the site’s content comprehensive. We offer something
for your every spirit. From the
playful spirit to the recreational spirit to the hungry spirit, it
is all at SpiritofDestin.com,”
said Aric. “Anyone can benefit
from using our site. That’s the
beauty. It’s for all to use and
enjoy.”
For example, the site features a
wealth of information about
the Destin area at your fingertips such as restaurants, shopping, movie listings, taxis,
nightlife and outdoor recreation. The website is the perfect tool to showcase Destin’s
finest attributes and to draw
people
to
the
coast.
SpiritofDestin.com’s stylish,
playful design is unlike anything else in the area.
A native of Northeastern Oklahoma and before beginning work on
SpiritofDestin.com, Tracie had a history of energy and entrepreneurship. She and her husband have been married 21 years and they have
two daughters. They have also been self-employed in the convenience store business experiencing years of success and were known
for their mouth-watering “Dave’s Old Fashioned Burgers.”
At 23, Tracie became the mayor of Westville, Oklahoma and served
on the city council for over four years. During her tenure, she built a
new fire department, purchased new equipment, worked with the

“We want to share the spirit so that other people can benefit. We want to be the
one site that people can put in their favorites and use whenever they need area
information. We encourage suggestions as we continually improve and update
our site and all that it has to offer,” said Aric.
Cherokee Nation to help construct and fund an animal shelter,
restructured the police department, secured grants for public works
improvements and worked to strengthen the infrastructure for future
growth. She was also very active in the community and schools and
initiated the first PTA at Westville Public Schools serving as its charter president.
“I am looking forward to using my business experience and community-oriented personality to work in the real estate market of the Gulf
Coast, where we now call home and with our new site,” says Tracie.
“I love Destin and all the spirit the area has to offer.”
Like Tracie, Aric found his way home to the Destin area. Aric graduated from Samford University in 1999 and afterwards taught fourth
and fifth grade students in Birmingham, Alabama. While teaching, he
earned both a Master’s Degree and an Educational Specialist Degree
in the area of school administration. A passion for helping others,
continuous learning and love of Destin’s beautiful emerald beaches
led Aric to relocate the Destin. He obtained his real estate license and
became acquainted with all aspects of the real estate field, originally
first-time buyer residential homes and pre-construction condominiums. He later specialized in commercial and investment real estate.
Most recently, Aric has been involved with Coldwell Banker’s Luxury
Previews International market. Aric comments, “Whether you are a a
luxury buyer who wants only the very best that Destin has to offer or
a first time-more budget oriented buyer, I am a motivated, willing,
and focused individual who is ready to serve your every need. I never
lose sight of your needs and wants and am committed to exceeding
