The New England Ski Journal TV show debuted last month to amazing response and impressive ratings out of the gate. Nearly 40,000 ski enthusiasts tuned in to the premiere episode of NESJ TV on Comcast SportsNet New England on Dec. 9, and ratings held strong through subsequent airings during December. “We’re incredibly excited by the immediate and overwhelming response to our new show,” said Eric Seamans, publisher and executive producer of New England Ski Journal. New England Ski Journal — a production of Seamans Media, Inc. — has been a staple on the region’s ski scene for the past two decades since the launch of the print magazine in November 1996. Now, the TV show extends its coverage to a whole new and wider audience. “We knew there was an audience and appetite for quality ski programming, and we knew we could produce a high-impact, high-quality show for ski enthusiasts throughout the region,” Seamans said. “To see our first show compete in the ratings with high-profile and established programming is really rewarding and uplifting to us and our advertisers.” Airing in prime time at 9 p.m. every Tuesday on Comcast SportsNet New England, NESJ TV’s first episode beat or equaled many local affiliates and several national cable networks in the key demographics of men 18-49 and men 25-54 in the Boston/ Manchester market.
