ACCELERATE PERFORMANCE
WEIGHT REDUCTION
Replace heavy metals with performance plastics such
as PEEK. This extruded resin has one of the highest
strength-to-weight ratios of any thermoplastic.
Available in Convoluted, Spiral Wrap, Heat Shrink,
Insulated Wire, Extruded Tubing and more.
TEMPERATURE EXTREMES
ECA is the insulator of choice for advancing designs
due to its excellent electrical properties at elevated
temperatures (300°C/572°F).
RADIATION
PEEK and PVDF are excellent material choices for space
components or other applications where radiation
resistance is needed to enhance performance.
REDUCE FRICTION
Through the extrusion of micro-structured channels
along the tube, Engineered Surface tubing decreases
friction and strain on fiber optics when used as sheathing.

SHEATHING
Our extrusions hold machine grade tolerances (~0.001”)
on plastic tubing used in fiber optics. FEP, PTFE, THV,
PEEK, ECA or ETFE are typical extruded performance
resins utilized for fiber optics. Fillers, such as glass, can
be introduced to increase the robustness of items while
maintaining the smooth bore of the furcation tubing.
Annealing options to reduce the coefficient of thermal
expansion in plastics at high temperature ranges are
available. Convoluted products can act as a conduit
for the delicate fibers and Aeos® ePTFE tubing can be
delivered as a sheathing that will maximize flexibility
whilst reducing vibration impact and chafing.
COATED OPTICAL FIBER
We provide specialty coated optical fibers that are
resilient in harsh operating environments. These
coatings protect against abrasion, chemicals, radiation
and extreme temperatures up to 300° C. We offer an
array of optical fiber coating options in PEEK, PFA,
ETFE, ECA (300°C), PVDF and more.

HEAT SHRINK
HEAT SHRINK RELEASE AIDS –
FEP, ETFE, PEEK and PTFE are approved contact resins
for composites. We make Sub-Lite-Wall®(~0.004”)
heat shrinks that offer seamless coverings to forming
mandrels or bladders that expand with heat and
pressure for composite manufacturing. Our innovative
heat shrinks replace labor intensive film or tape, thus
saving manpower and time, while still producing an
improved surface finish on the end composite part.
