Volume 2, Issue 1 - Red Lodge Public Schools
WELCOME BACK!
WHAT A GREAT YEAR SO FAR!! I’ve
been so busy meeting all the new students and
teachers that I’ve hardly had a minute to sit down
and welcome everyone to the BEST YEAR
EVER! How do I know that? Well, take a look
at all the awesome things that have happened so
far, and we’re just getting started… For instance,
Homecoming 2015 really was the best week ever
with all the movie and cartoon characters running
about (too bad no one dressed up as Rocky Balboa –
or even Rocky and Bullwinkle, I think he’s related to me
somehow....) anyway, it was a blast. Check out some of the
highlights on page 5 & 6. And of course there was Pink Night
and Senior Night and… whew! Better keep on running (maybe I
should join cross-country?) so I don’t miss out! I’ll see you later, but in
the meantime, check out some of the other great articles and pictures in this
month’s issue. ‘Til next time, have fun, be safe and as a friend of mine likes to
say… keep it classy Red Lodge!

Red Lodge Rams Sports
By: Natalie Hudak, Kylie Kelly, Zane Buckstead, Gracie Karas
As we get into the school year we notice that the Rams volleyball girls are
doing a fantastic job this year. These girls lost their first game in the Manhattan
tournament. The volleyball team lost to Three Forks. They are ranked number
one in the conference. Even though Three Forks is not a conference game, they
are still undefeated in their conference. Daniella Russell is leading our conference in spikes, and Natalie Hilderman is second in assists. That is great for our
volleyball girls.
Cross-Country rams will
out ram ya!
The football team won their first game, but as the teams get harder the boys
have worked themselves to dust. Many are coming out with injuries from playing there hardest to get a win. Ridge Tomlin captured an interception in the
Shepherd and Three Forks game. Good Job Ridge! Rams football will play its
last game of the season this Friday at Big Timber.
Cross-country boys and girls are doing really well. The race on Sept. 9 both
girls and boys placed 3rd overall. The cross-country teams first runner for
the boys is Vance Thuesen, and the teams first runner for the girls is Addie
Poore. Stay tuned for the state meet results from Great Falls.

These teams are doing well, but they always need some pep and the cheerleaders are always here to keep their hopes up for the big win. Speaking of
the cheerleaders, they had their first big stunt at the Joliet vs. Rams volleyball game. All of our sports are getting better and
learning more every practice. We believe as a school
that these three teams are going to go somewhere this
year if they continue to try their hardest. Go Rams!

This year’s homecoming was one of the biggest turnouts in student participation we have ever had, with many activities
such as the dress up days, Quidditch, and the toiletry drive. The class having the most students dress up was the senior class
followed by the juniors. There was an amazing turnout at the Quidditch matches, the championship game was being played
between freshman and the seniors. The freshmen stole the game from the seniors when they caught the snitch, scoring 150
points and the championship coming to an end for this year.
The Friday before homecoming we started a toiletry drive sponsored by The Red Lodge Area Community Foundations.
The corporation for National and Community service asks for the citizens to stop having hateful memories of 9/11 and instead do one good deed to honor the victims and responders. Red Lodge High School heard this request and took part. In
total, RLHS collected 260 items. Taking first place with 125 items was the senior
class. Mrs. Belinda remarked, “I am proud that the students of RLHS continue to
be a part of projects and community service. Our kids are amazing!” Good job
Red Lodge High School!
With new ideas in our hearts the crew at the RAMpage has decided to have the
