Il TOTAL TRAINING®
è il programma più innovativo, efficace e divertente che possiate trovare attualmente sul mercato del fitness mondiale. Ho
cercato di ideare una perfetta combinazione di coreografia e fasi di tonificazione variamente alternate che, a seconda dei
programmi, può soddisfare una finalità aerobica oppure anaerobica. L'idea di questo programma nasce dopo anni e anni di esperienza nel mondo del fitness. La prima volta che sono andato negli Stati Uniti per studiare nei due più famosi centri di fitness
mondiali, il Voight e il Martin Henry di Los Angeles, ricordo la netta distinzione dei programmi di allenamento, il primo centro
era specializzato in lezioni coreografiche di aerobica, step e funk, mentre il secondo era specializzato in tonificazione
muscolare con piccoli attrezzi quali pesetti, elastici e body bar. Dopo il boom dell'aerobica negli anni '90, negli ultimi anni ho
riscontrato nel mondo della coreo-grafia una netta inversione di tendenza. Le lezioni molto coreo-grafate stanno perdendo credito ad eccezione di pochi insegnanti, di conseguenza l'influenza pioneristica degli Stati Uniti, che ha sempre indirizzato
le nostre tendenze, ha cominciato da qualche tempo a farsi sentire anche in Europa. Ciò probabilmente è dovuto al fatto che
riuscire a seguire interamente un corso di aerobica o step coreografato in maniera metabolicamente allenante, richiede, da
parte di chi lo pratica, grande costanza e impegno sia fisico che psichico. Questo risulta particolarmente difficile, considerando gli stressanti ritmi di vita quotidiani, nonché le molteplici opzioni dei programmi di allenamento offerti nei centri fitness. Il
risultato è che le lezioni di aerobica e step coreografico, anche se più divertenti perché più varie da un punto di vista motorio, risultano meno frequentate di altre, più semplici da un punto di vista esecutivo ma altrettanto allenanti.

STRETCHING
L'obiettivo di questa serie di lezioni, nonché il vantaggio per chi le
seguirà, è attuare un programma di semplice esecuzione, ma di efficace allenamento sia dal punto di vista metabolico che muscolare. La struttura delle lezioni in fasi che si alternano in modo
regolare e la cui intensità segue un andamento "sinusoidale" ha lo scopo di evitare l'adattamento del metabolismo a un andamento a "plateau", una volta raggiunta la soglia aerobica. La variabilità della coreografia e degli esercizi intervallati, permette inoltre di mantenere, in chi la pratica, una soglia di attenzione più alta con conseguente maggior coinvolgimento ed impegno dal punto di vista fisico. Il ripetersi della coreografia per un periodo pre-definito (circa quattro settimane) permette a
tutti di entrare in possesso delle capacità motorie in modo tale da poterla eseguire con la giusta intensità. La parte coreografica viene ideata con diversi livelli di difficoltà in modo da poter dare all'insegnante la possibilità di adattare la lezione in
base al tipo di classe che dovrà allenare. L'esecuzione di semplici, ma divertenti corografie ha infine lo scopo di rendere le
lezioni allegre aggiungendo un tocco di vivacità in più rispetto alle classiche lezioni di total body.

TOTAL TRAINING® step 1
Questa lezione prevede fasi di coreografia con bpm compresi tra 130 e 135, costruita con metodo piramidale inverso e addon, intervallata da esercizi di tonificazione con pesetti da 1 o 2 kg. che coinvolgono prevalentemente i muscoli della parte
superiore del corpo (compresi gli addominali). La scelta di questa metodologia di allenamento è motivata dal fatto che l'ordine di reclutamento delle fibre è correlato all'impegno muscolare richiesto. Nel caso di lavoro con piccoli carichi, vengono
prima reclutate le fibre lente (fibre rosse) ricche di mitocondri, capaci di produrre lievi tensioni, protratte per periodi lunghi,
con il conseguente incremento della forza resistente. Se il lavoro prosegue, entrano in gioco anche le fibre veloci (fibre
bianche), capaci di provocare una lieve ipertrofia muscolare. Questo tipo di lavoro, se effettuato rimanendo sempre nel
"range" aerobico, (intervallando fasi di step coreografico a fasi di step di tonificazione, senza far calare il nostro ritmo cardiaco), ha il duplice obiettivo di bruciare a livello sistemico i grassi di deposito e di produrre maggiore definizione, tonicità, resistenza muscolare e una lieve ipertrofia. Il risultato sarà poter constatare obiettivamente un'invidiabile forma fisica.

is the most innovative, efficient and fun programme currently available on the world fitness
market. I have attempted to create the perfect combination of choreography and toning phases, which are
variously alternated and, according to the programme, may satisfy an aerobic or anaerobic need. The
idea of this programme was born through years and years of experience in the world of fitness. The first
time I went to the United States to study at the two most famous world fitness centres, the Voight and
Martin Henry Studios of Los Angeles, I remember the clear distinction in the training programmes. The
first centre specialised in choreographic aerobics lessons, step and funk, while the second specialised
in the toning of muscles with small pieces of equipment like hand held weights, elastic bands and the
body bar. Since the boom of aerobics in the '90s, I have found over the last few years a definite change
in the world of choreography. Lessons with a lot of choreography are not so popular, with the exception
of a few teachers; consequently the pioneer-like influence of the United States, which has always oriented our trends, has begun to be felt recently in Europe, too. This is probably due to the fact that to succeed in completing a course of aerobics or step with choreography from start to finish, in a manner that
will train our metabolism, participants are required to have great perseverance and commitment over the
course of many lessons. Considering the stressful rhythm of everyday life and the many options of training programmes offered by fitness centres, it is not surprising that the number of choreography intensi-

ve classes have declined. The result is that, although they are more fun because they are more varied
from the motory point of view, choreographic aerobic and step lessons are less frequented than other
classes that may be simpler to perform but are equally capable of training the body.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of this series of lessons and the advantage for participants is to establish a programme that
is simple to perform, but which provides efficient training from both the metabolic and muscular points of
view. The purpose of the lesson structure in regularly alternating phases that are progressively "sinusoidal" is to prevent the metabolism from becoming accustomed to a "plateau-like" progression once the
aerobic threshold has been reached. The variation of the choreography and exercise intervals also helps
participants maintain a higher level of interest, with consequently greater involvement and commitment
from the physical standpoint. Repeating the choreography for an established period of time (about four
weeks) permits everyone to take possession of their motory abilities, and enables them to carry out the
exercises with the proper intensity. The choreographic part was created with different levels of difficulty to
give the instructor the possibility to adapt the lesson to the type of class that he or she has to train. Finally,
the purpose of executing simple, but entertaining choreographies, is to make lessons cheerful, adding a
touch of liveliness to classical total body lessons.
TOTAL TRAINING® step 1
This lesson envisions a phase of choreography with 130 to 135 bpm, built up with an inverted pyramid
and add-on method, interspersed with exercises for muscle tone and 1 or 2 kg. hand-held weights, which
prevalently involve the muscles of the upper part of the body (including abdominal muscles). The reason
for the choice of this method of training is that the order of recruitment of the fibres is correlated to the
muscular exertion required. When working with small loads, the slow fibres are recruited first (red fibres)
which are rich in mitochondrions and capable of producing slight tension, protracted for long periods of
time, with the consequent increase in stamina. If the work continues, the fast fibres (white fibres) come
into play, which are capable of provoking slight muscular hypertrophy. If this type of work is always done
within the aerobic "range", (with intervals of phases of choreographic step and toning step exercises,
without decreasing the heart rate), it has the double objective of burning fatty deposits in the system and
producing greater muscle definition, tone, stamina and a slight hypertrophy. The result will enable you to
objectively witness acquisition of an enviable physical form.

WHAT IS MINOROBICS?
MINOROBICS is a physical exercise program specially designed for both children and teenagers. It is based on a series of movements that are performed in time with the music
supplied by the MINOROBIC program. The music supplied has also been specially coordinated to an individuals's rate of breathing.
WHY IS MINOROBICS BENEFICIAL?
MINOROBICS is an excellent tool to be used which will develop and maintain a child's psychosomatic functions. It has been shown that people who perform physical exercise
on a regular basis maintain higher self-esteem and are generally happier and more dynamic. This benefits their lives on a daily basis and helps them maintain a great feeling of
balance throughout each day. Seize this great opportunity and introduce your child or children to MINOROBICS! The program is sure to become a fun activity they could get
used to every day! By doing this, MINOROBICS will help to give them the much needed head start in life they deserve. MINOROBICS helps children to learn movements,
sequences, and coordinated groups of movements. It is well known that children's organs and physiological systems (cardiovascular, osteoarticular, and muscletendinous
systems) are not ready to support the excessive stress caused by prolonged period of exercise. This refers to aerobics as practiced by adults. The duration of intense exercise
or not well planned muscle growth programs could be dangerous for a child's development.
In children, the enzymatic system is not fully capable of eliminating metabolic waste products produced (eg. hepatic enzymes) because the organs and physiological systems
are still maturing with the child's age. MINOROBICS introduces children to physical fitness gradually by using music combined with low intensity exercises that allow the individual
child when it's best that he or she take a break. It has already been established that the association of motor control with the relationship between movements and music play
a very important role with the development of basic motor skills. The perception of space and time, movement coordination and efficiency in the expression of motor functions
as a language are also important for proper development. The ability to perceive and reproduce movements is a critical part of the motor educational process. In turn, this ability
results in correct behaviour and educates the ear's vestibular apparatus, as well as developing neurophysiological synapses necessary for proper coordination. Through precise
individual voluntary actions, the children’s bodies are able to correctly maintain harmonious control throughout the MINOROBICS program.
MINOROBICS Vol. 1 is an aid to introduce smaller children to physical exercises. It is also easy for the people who interact with
them on a regular basis. This involves educators, parents, teachers, entertainment coordinators, etc.)
Each volume consists of:
· one 60 minute audio cassette or CD
· booklet with all the exercises
· poster that illustrates all the movements and names of the objects
or animals that help children to memorize particular
movement in the exercise (a video is also available on request)

MINOROBICA VOL. 1, è un programma di facile utilizzo soprattutto per i bambini e per chi vive a stretto contatto con loro (insegnanti, educatori, genitori, animatori, baby sitter ecc.) e vuole divertirsi con loro svolgendo un’attività fisica. Prima fase: Riscaldamento - La prima parte, è dedicata al riscaldamento. E' importante preparare i bambini allo svolgimento della coreografia principale attraverso una serie di esercizi che aumenteranno gradualmente la frequenza cardiaca dai valori di riposo a quelli di lavoro moderato. Seconda fase: Coreografia Ed eccoci alla fase centrale. - Si tratta di movimenti molto semplici e facili da eseguire che sviluppano la coordinazione. Il divertimento è assicurato, poiché sia le musiche che i passi trasmettono molto
entusiasmo ed allegria. Poiché i bambini più piccoli possiedono poca padronanza del corpo e poca memoria motoria, qualità che si migliorano nel tempo, suggeriamo di studiare un movimento della
coreografia per volta. Questo schema potrà essere d'aiuto: 1) spiegazione senza musica 2) studio del movimento senza musica fino ad una sufficiente memoria motoria 3) esecuzione del singolo movimento con musica -aiutando i bimbi- per 4 volte molto lento e 4 volte più veloce 4) esecuzione del singolo movimento con musica -senza aiutare i bimbi- per 16 volte. L'esempio di studio dovrà essere
seguito per ogni singolo movimento. Quando ogni movimento sarà ben memorizzato si potrà ripetere la coreografia dall'inizio per poi passare al successivo. Appresi tutti i singoli movimenti, si eseguirà la coreografia completa senza interruzioni. Terza fase: Defaticamento - Nell'ultima parte dell'attività, si dovrà provvedere a far eseguire particolari esercizi affinchè il carico di lavoro venga progressivamente diminuito, allo scopo di riportare i bambini alle condizioni fisiologiche di base. NB: Questo piano di lavoro deve essere soltanto una traccia indicativa per lo svolgimento dell’attività.

MINOROBICS is a physical exercise program specially designed for both children and teenagers. It is based on a series of movements that are performed in time with the music supplied by the MINOROBIC program. The music supplied has also been specially coordinated to an individuals's rate of breathing. WHY IS MINOROBICS BENEFICIAL? MINOROBICS is an excellent tool to be used which
will develop and maintain a child's psychosomatic functions. It has been shown that people who perform physical exercise on a regular basis maintain higher self-esteem and are generally happier and
more dynamic. This benefits their lives on a daily basis and helps them maintain a great feeling of balance throughout each day. Seize this great opportunity and introduce your child or children to
MINOROBICS! The program is sure to become a fun activity they could get used to every day! By doing this, MINOROBICS will help to give them the much needed head start in life they deserve. MINOROBICS helps children to learn movements, sequences, and coordinated groups of movements. It is well known that children's organs and physiological systems (cardiovascular, osteoarticular, and
muscletendinous systems) are not ready to support the excessive stress caused by prolonged period of exercise. This refers to aerobics as practiced by adults. The duration of intense exercise or
not well planned muscle growth programs could be dangerous for a child's development. In children, the enzymatic system is not fully capable of eliminating metabolic waste products produced (eg.
hepatic enzymes) because the organs and physiological systems are still maturing with the child's age. MINOROBICS introduces children to physical fitness gradually by using music combined with low
intensity exercises that allow the individual child when it's best that he or she take a break. It has already been established that the association of motor control with the relationship between movements and music play a very important role with the development of basic motor skills. The perception of space and time, movement coordination and efficiency in the expression of motor functions
as a language are also important for proper development. The ability to perceive and reproduce movements is a critical part of the motor educational process. In turn, this ability results in correct
behaviour and educates the ear's vestibular apparatus, as well as developing neurophysiological synapses necessary for proper coordination.
Through precise individual voluntary actions, the children’s bodies are able to correctly maintain harmonious control throughout the MINOROBICS program. MINOROBICS Vol. 1 is an aid to introduce
smaller children to physical exercises. It is also easy for the people who interact with them on a regular basis. This involves educators, parents, teachers, entertainment coordinators, etc.)
First phase: Warm-up - The first part is spent warming up. It is important to prepare the children for the main body of exercise with a series of exercises, which gradually increase the heart rate from
the rest rate to a moderate exercise rate. Second phase: Choreography - This is the central phase. - This phase is composed of very simple and easy to perform movements that develop coordination. Children will surely enjoy themselves in this phase because both the steps and the music convey a lot of enthusiasm and fun. Since smaller children have not yet developed much control over their
bodies and motor memory, we suggest that only one movement from the choreography at a time be taught. The following plan may be of help: 1) Explanation without music. 2) Study of the movement
without music until sufficient motor memory of it has been developed.3) Execution of the individual movement with music – while helping the children –very slowly four times and then another four
times increasing the speed. 4) Execution of the individual movement with music – without helping the children - 16 times. This study plan should be followed for each single movement. Once every movement has become automatic, repeat the choreography from the start, then move on to the next one. When all movements have been learned, the following choreography can be carried out.
Third phase: Cooldown - In this, the final part of the exercise routine, exercises are carried out in which the load is gradually reduced. This is to bring the child back to his or her base physiological
state. NB: The following work plan is simply an indicative outline for how the exercises are to be conducted.
