Winkhaus blueTop™ Communal Entrance Door Lock Motorised high security locking system installed in the frame in Doors Time for a re-think! Winkhaus blueTop™ Communal Entrance Door Lock Motorised high security locking system installed in the frame..... With over 150 years experience in producing locking systems Winkhaus is a market leader providing innovative security solutions to meet the challenges of tomorrow’s rapidly changing security demands and ease of use requirements. Designed to meet the rigours of the 21st century and the demands of the high security communal entrance door market. The blueTop™ Locking system has a number of unique features:• Complete locking mechanism installed in the frame. • No need for a euro-profile cylinder. • No wiring required within the door leaf. • No wiring transfer required from the frame to the door leaf. • Very high burglar-proof resistance. • The door leaf requires minimal routing for the keep only, thus increasing door leaf stability. • Automatic security when the door closes. • Mechanical lever override to unlock the door from the inside in an emergency. • Optional manual entry via external key operated override cylinder. • Patented design. The blueTop™ lock is housed completely in the outer frame meaning that no potentially complicated wiring is required to transfer power from the sash to the frame. This saves time both at the production and installation stages. In addition the risk of vandalism is dramatically reduced as all power cables are hidden within the frame. AL D AN -V TI AN Unlike a conventional multi-point lock, the blueTop™ locking system is fitted in the frame Automatic lock opening A typical mechanical cylinder and key are replaced by electronic access control devices and the lock is compatible with all known major access control brands1. When the signal is sent a motor retracts the huge locking bolts and unlocks the door. The door is locked automatically when the door is closed. Increased rigidity of the door leaf Because routing and removal of material for the gearbox, deadbolt boxes and motor is not required, the stability of the door leaf is increased when compared with conventional locks. Only the keep rail is fitted to the sash, and this requires a much smaller degree of machining. Greater door design choice Because the blueTop™ locking system is installed into the frame conventional door furniture such as a latch, handle set and profile cylinder are not required, thus giving greater flexibility in door style design. Easy installation Because the locking mechanism is fitted into the frame, no wiring is required in (or to) the door leaf, consequently the fabrication and installation costs can be considerably reduced. Solid 10mm thick x 100mm long deadbolt Solid brass, nickel plated deadbolts The huge tapered 10mm thick x 100mm long brass bolts are extremely strong and easily surpass PAS23/24 security standards, penetrating 20mm into the keep rail. Emergency unlocking To allow escape from the building in the event of a power failure there is an Emergency Egress Lever (manual unlocking device) on the inside. Optional manual entry A euro-profile cylinder can be used as an optional external key operated override in case of a power failure Rigid lock faceplate The 28mm x 6mm thick laminated faceplate enhances the security and stability of blueTop™ lock. Day or night mode To use the blueTop™ locking system without having to lock and unlock it every time, a day/night switch can be used to allow day function1. In this mode, the locking bolts do not engage when the door is closed. The door is held closed by means of a strong roller latch offering easy entry and egress. For auto-locking, simply switch to the night mode. In night mode entry and exit is possible only via an access control system1 using a push button, transponder, entry-phone or any other access control system with a potential-free signal output. Durability Tested to 200,000 cycles under load. 10 Year mechanical warranty. 1 Not supplied by Winkhaus. Should be installed by a qualified access control engineer. Roller latch Time for a re-think!
