Dear Sponsorship Partner,
The Junior League of Jacksonville was founded in 1923 and is an organization of
women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women,
and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained
volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. For the past 93
years, the Junior League has been a force for change in our local community, as a
result of the tireless and innovative work of our trained members.
The Junior League welcomes all women who demonstrate a commitment to
voluntarism. The current membership of the Junior League is approximately 1,000
women. We are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International,
which includes 155,000 women in 293 leagues across four countries. Our members
are trained as civic leaders who endeavor to identify community needs and
implement strategies and programs to address those needs.
Annually, we provide in excess of 10,000 volunteer hours in the Jacksonville
community through our programs. Over the past nine decades, we have
strategically focused these volunteer efforts in order to address unmet needs in the
community and create sustainable programming for significant change and impact.
As a result, among many other endeavors, we founded the Jacksonville Speech &
Hearing Center and Family Nurturing Center, we were instrumental in the founding
of the Children’s Museum (now MOSH), and Hubbard House. Our current
community focuses are on providing access to nutrition education and affordable
healthy foods.
Each year, the Junior League raises money to support these community programs,
which currently include our Fresh Minds, CARES, Kids in the Kitchen and DIAD
programs, through fundraisers such as our annual Whale of a Sale, annual Unique
Boutique and rentals of our property, the Riverside House.
The Junior League looks to our sponsors to assist us in furthering our mission. We
greatly appreciate your contribution to our efforts as we strive to positively impact
the lives of children and families in the greater Jacksonville area, and improve the
community in which we live.
The Junior League is qualified as a 501(c) (3) organization. Your contributions are
100% tax deductible. For more information, please visit www.jljacksonville.org.
Thank you for your consideration of financial support of the Junior League. We
look forward to serving our community alongside you and cannot wait for the
exciting things this year will bring!

COMMUNITY FOCUS
The Junior League of Jacksonville strives to improve the quality of life for communities
across the First Coast. We accomplish this by anticipating and researching needs of the
community and reacting to those needs with effective programs and trained volunteers.
Fresh Minds makes nutrition education and affordable
healthy foods available to food-insecure Jacksonville
residents. Access to healthy foods in certain areas of
North Florida is dire. The U.S. Department of Agriculture
states that in thirty of our neighborhoods, it is easier to
get a beer than a banana. We are addressing the issue
by providing nutrition education to food insecure
children and working with White Harvest Farms to bring
affordable healthy foods to families.
Kids in the Kitchen is an initiative of the Association
for Junior Leagues International and a concerted
effort to reverse the national crises of childhood
obesity and poor nutrition. Kids in the Kitchen takes
place in public schools and recreation centers
throughout our community.
CARES seeks to improve the opportunities for public education in Jacksonville. Through
CARES, Junior League members volunteer at George Washington Carver and North Shore
Elementary Schools in order enhancing education and literacy opportunities available to
students.
In addition to the Junior League’s own initiatives,
members volunteer in partnership with approximately
25-30 local non-profits annually through the Done In A
Day program.
ALL-LEAGUE SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
In addition to the below, custom sponsorship levels are available for any sponsor who wants to support the
Junior League for multiple events or programming. We regularly hold leadership trainings and social events
for our members, for which there are also sponsorship opportunities. Please let us know how we can make
your sponsorship experience as meaningful and beneficial to you as possible.
