Company History
MEREWAY began life in 1986 as a family business supplying a
local market with kitchen furniture, and were the first kitchen
manufacturer to introduce colour co-ordinated interior cabinetry.
Considered novel at the time, this is now accepted by retailers
and customers alike as one of the hallmarks of quality fitted furniture.
Still run as a family business, we have retained our core family
values and Mereway’s reputation for producing outstanding products, complemented by an unprecedented level of customer service, has seen the company emerge as one of Britain’s leading
independent furniture manufacturers. In 2000, Mereway Limited
began separating the company into smaller, product related businesses, giving each more autonomy and allowing a much more
focused approach to their individual markets.

Mereway Kitchens - The Inside Story
This picture shows the meaning of real quality. Mereway kitchens are just as
concerned about the working parts of the kitchen as with the appearance.
They believe that all kitchen units should be factory assembled, using traditional furniture methods of dowel and glue, not held together with "flat pack"
fittings.
Mereway kitchens also believe that the interiors of the kitchen units should be
colour co-ordinated with the doors and that the solid backs of the cabinets
should be full height to keep dust out. In short, every detail matters just as
much as the overall appearance.

Quality in Design
Mereway Kitchens source quality internal mechanisms and fittings and
work closely with suppliers who are at the forefront of kitchen technology.
Kessebohmer are just one of several leading suppliers of built-in fitting
systems for kitchens whose innovative ideas, sophisticated engineering,
and contemporary design are the hallmark of their product range.
All Kessebohmer internal wire products are made of high grade steel and
go through meticulous processing before they are fitted to Mereway kitchens.
New Wall Mechanism
The mechanism used in Mereway kitchens Vertical Lift-up wall units is the
new Aventos system from Blum. This new system allows the door to lift up and
over the cabinet making it perfect for rooms with height restrictions, whilst the
variable stop ensures that the door always remains in the desired position so the
handle will always be within reach.
Soft close is featured as standard.
Mereway Kitchens sink units have been redesigned to make the fitting of sinks a
hassle free operation. With a top rail made of 20mm aluminium and a removable
back there is nothing to impede the cut-out. An aluminium drip tray is fitted as
standard in every unit. Please note this feature is not available on all sink units
unless specified in the range.
Mereway kitchens new Inserta Hinges offer tool free hinge-to-door and door-to-kitchen
units assembly for fast and convenient fitting as well as easy removal. The hinges have
been through rigorous testing procedures for wear and tear and fatigue, including
200,000 opening and closing cycles and load and abuse testing to support their lifetime
guarantee.
Mereway kitchens Titanium drawers are 500mm deep giving more storage space.
Full Extension allows unrestricted access to the contents and works perfectly with the Orgaline Drawer Management System. Drawer boxes are
fitted with Blumotion. This is a self closing system that cushions the
drawer 50mm from closing and then pulls it shut in a controlled way.
Mereway kitchens have a
full depth top panel on all standard base units and all cabinets have ABS edging as standard. 19mm colour coordinated carcasses. Different materials i.e. wood/laminate can not be
considered to be a perfect match however they have achieved a high level of colour coordination.

flaps and pull-outs is not just about noise reduction, it is also about being an emotional experience. The result of these efforts is
BLUMOTION - perfect motion, silent and effortless.
This means that doors, flaps and pullouts will close silently and effortlessly without knocking against the cabinet or springing
It doesn't matter whether doors, flaps and pullouts are pushed gently or with force, heavily laden or
empty – thanks to BLUMOTION, they will all close silently and effortlessly. The stronger the force of
