Where Academics & the Arts Come Together February4,2016 DearGoodenFamilies, Wehaveexcitingnewstoshare!InNovember2015,theBoardofTrusteessolicitedrequestsfor proposalsfromseveralleadingsearchfirms.Followinganextensivereviewandinterviewprocessin DecemberandearlyJanuary,Carney,Sandoe&AssociateswasretainedtoassisttheGoodenSchoolin findingitsnextHeadofSchool.Thefirmisnationallyrecognizedasaleaderinrecruitingheadsand othersenioradministratorsatindependentschoolsaroundthecountry.WewillbeworkingwithPeter S.Philip,SeniorSearchConsultant,andJanePhillips,SeniorSearchConsultant,bothofwhomhave extensiveexperienceinindependentschoolsandheadsearches.Theywillbeassistingusaswedevelop ourschoolprofileandpositiondescription,aswellasprovidingadvicetotheSearchCommittee concerningprocess,procedureandbestpractices.Inaddition,theywillofcourseberecommending candidatesforourconsideration. Carney,Sandoe&AssociateshasledsuccessfulsearchesfornumerousindependentandEpiscopal SchoolsacrossthenationandhasworkedlocallywithschoolssuchPolytechnic,FlintridgeSacredHeart AcademyandtheWebbSchool.MoreinformationaboutCarneySandoe&Associatesisavailableat www.carneysandoe.com OurconsultantswillvisitingwithusonfromJanuary31throughFebruary2ndwhentheywillbeon campustomeetwithvariousconstituents(students,facultyandstaff,administration,parents,etc.)and gettingtoknowourschoolanditsuniquecultureaswellaspossible.Theywillalsogatherdatafroman onlinequestionnaire,whicheveryonewillhaveaccessto. JaneandPeterwillbeworkingwiththeSearchCommitteetotranslatewhattheylearnduringtheirvisit intoaprofileofourschoolandaPositionDescriptionforthenextHeadofSchool.Theywillthenbegin tobuildacandidatepoolandconductin-depthcandidateinterviewsandreferencecheckspriorto recommendingapoolofcandidatestous.TheywillguidetheSearchCommitteethroughourown interviewingandvettingprocessasweidentifysemi-finalistsandfinalists.Itisourgoalthatthenew headofschoolwillbeginhis/hertenureonJuly1,2017. WelookforwardtoworkingwithCarneySandoe&Associates,withtheassistanceoftheentireGooden community,toachieveanoutcomethatwillbestserveourschool,bothnowandinthefuture.
