As the Mayor of
Albuquerque, I would
like to welcome you
to the 2015 New
Mexico
Municipal

(NMML)
Conference. The NMML
does important work
representing the cities, towns, and villages, in the
State of New Mexico, and I am proud that Albuquerque
is hosting this important gathering. I hope that you
gain valuable insight and ideas from your time at the
conference, and have the opportunity to share ideas
and best practices that will ultimately make our state
and communities a better place.
When not in conference sessions, please make sure
to enjoy the abundant activities our city has to offer.
Whether exploring historic Old Town, spending time
shopping at ABQ Uptown, visiting the beautiful
BioPark, or hiking through the majestic Sandia
Mountains, you are sure to have an enjoyable and
memorable experience in Albuquerque.
It is my hope that your time at the conference is both
meaningful and worthwhile, and you leave with both
wonderful ideas and motivation to continue doing
good in your own communities. Enjoy your time spent

New Mexico municipal officials have the opportunity
to participate in a certification program that provides
advanced training on the fundamentals of municipal
government and other timely issues. Enrollment is open
to all elected municipal officials.
The voluntary three-tiered certification program is
designed to provide the knowledge and tools to meet
the challenge of municipal leadership. Participants who
successfully complete all three levels will receive the
distinguished designation of Certified Municipal Official
(CMO) and receive a pin and plaque in recognition of
their status.

Souder, Miller & Associates
Providing a full range of services
for communities throughout
New Mexico for over 30 years
The New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA) was
created to finance infrastructure projects for state and
local governments by providing low-cost financing for
borrowers who might not otherwise be able to access
capital markets on a cost-effective basis. NMFA is a
proud sponsor of the New Mexico Municipal League and
has multiple programs focused on addressing the infrastructure needs of municipalities:

Public Project Revolving Fund (“PPRF”)

Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund (“DWSRF”)

Water Project Fund/Water Trust Board (“WTB”)

Colonias Infrastructure Fund (“CIF”)

Local Government Planning Fund (“LGPF”)

New Markets Tax Credits (“NMTC”)
For more information about the NMFA and its programs,

We look a little
different.
Because at CH2M, we
are a little different.
It’s how we deliver
infrastructure and
natural resource
solutions — and the
impact our work has
on the clients and
communities we
serve — that makes
us stand out. So while
our look may be new,
our commitment to
you will never change.
