Accreditation means that each camp undergoes a thorough review process by outside camping professionals every three years. Our Girl Scout camps consistently achieve the highest standards in the areas of personnel, program, site administration, and health care. Bring a Friend! Non-Girl Scouts welcome! Who are the camp counselors? Our counselors are selected based on their program skills, maturity, education, caring attitude, and experience with children. Counselors are primarily college students, both female and male, with male counselors housed in separate quarters. Program areas, such as ropes course, horses, swimming and boating, are directed by certified and trained staff. All of our staff must successfully complete precamp staff training, pass background screening and become members of Girl Scouts of the USA. Girl Scout summer camp is for every girl, even those not yet in Girl Scouts!
