Inscriber TitleMotion GS Installation Guide – Option #161 System Requirements Software Windows XP Windows 7 (Recommended to disable the User Account Control / UAC in Windows 7) Hardware Nvidia Graphics card with at least 512 MB RAM recommended (other graphic cards may vary in performance) At least 2 GIG of system RAM recommended TitleMotion GS Dongle (Purple) Note If you are upgrading from an older version of TitleMotion GS to a newer one, first remove the application for the Add/Remove Application Control Panel in Windows. If you are upgrading from TitleMotion Pro to TitleMotion GS, please read the instructions listed towards the end of this document. TitleMotion GS -‐ Installation Guide Page 1 TitleMotion GS Installation The following installation describes how to install the Harris Inscriber TitleMotion GS on the Broadcast Pix workstation, as well as on a remote computer for a secondary graphics operator: 1. Secure a TitleMotion GS Purple dongle to an available USB port. On new units sent from Broadcast Pix this dongle is mounted internally on the motherboard. 2. 3. Insert the Harris Installation CD-‐ROM. This CD is located in the Accessories Box of the Broadcast Pix workstation. Use Windows Explorer to view the contents of the installation CD and double click on the TitleMotionGS11.exe file, as shown below. A Preparing to install TitleMotion GS Prerequisites… message will appear, this will stay on screen for up to 2 minutes, please wait. Depending on your system configuration other items may be installed in the background. If the below message appears, please wait up to 5 minutes for these items to be installed. TitleMotion GS -‐ Installation Guide Page 2 Installation Continued 4. 5. 6. The TitleMotion GS Setup screen will appear, as shown below. Please wait up to 1 minute for the installer to prepare. Once the Setup screen is ready, click on the Next button, as shown below. In the License Agreement Setup Screen, click on the I accept the license agreement radio button, and click on the Next button, as shown below. TitleMotion GS -‐ Installation Guide Page 3 Installation Continued 7. In the Destination Folder Setup Screen click on the Next button, as shown below. 8. In the Ready to Install the Application Setup Screen click on the Next button, as shown below. The software is now being installed and a progress bar will appear in the Updating System Setup Screen, as shown below. This process may take up to 10 minutes. Once the installation is complete the TitleMotion GS has been successfully installed Screen will appear, click on the Finish button, as shown below. 10. An Installer Information Screen will appear asking to restart the computer. Click on the Yes button, as shown below, and the computer will reboot. Once the Windows Desktop appears, you are now ready to start using TitleMotion GS. TitleMotion GS -‐ Installation Guide Page 5 Uninstalling TitleMotion Pro If you are upgrading from TitleMotion Pro, please follow these instructions prior to installing the TitleMotion GS. 1. Navigate to the Start-‐All Programs-‐Inscriber-‐Uninstall TitleMotion menu, as shown below. 2. In the Select Uninstall Method Screen, click on the Custom radio button and click on the Next button, as shown below. 3. In the Select Private Files to Remove Screen, click on the Select All button followed by the Next button, as shown below. In the Select System Files to Remove Screen, select the Select All button followed by the Next button, as shown below. 5. In the Select Directories to Remove Screen, select the Select All button followed by the Next button, as shown below. 6. In the Select INI Items to Edit Screen, select the Select All button followed by the Next button, as shown below. TitleMotion GS -‐ Installation Guide Page 7 Uninstalling TitleMotion Pro Continued 7. In the Select Registry Keys to Remove Screen, select the Select All button followed by the Next button, as shown below. 8. In the Perform Uninstall Screen, select Finish button, as shown below. 9. If a Remove Shared Component Screen appears, click on the Yes to All button, as shown below. This complete uninstall process my take up to 2 minutes. After the uninstall is complete, you may continue to install TitleMotion GS, as described in the previous section.
