Short introduction to e-Boks From November 2005 all Danish state employees will receive their salary statements via e-Boks. All Danes can use e-Boks free of charge. We recommend that you use a digital signature to log in to your e-Boks. If you do not already have a digital signature, you can request one here: https://bestilling.certifikat.tdc.dk/pocesapply/jsp/index.jsp?dkblindsol=false&livinga broad=false. If you have a digital signature you can log in to e-Boks immediately. If you already have an e-Boks you can of course log in as usual. First e-Boks log in The first time you log in to e-Boks you will need to click on the digital signature link on the left-hand side. You can also access the other links (not described here). Click “OK” for the pop-up security warning. Click on “Log in” to log in. Then select the certificate you wish to log in with and click “OK”. Enter your password to access your digital signature and click “OK”. You must first accept the e-Boks standard conditions the first time you log in to eBoks. Read the conditions and click on “Yes, I accept the above conditions and wish to log in to my personal e-Boks” at the bottom of the page. Click on “continue” to log in to your e-Boks. Personal start page When you log in to e-Boks you will be taken to your personal start page. Your inbox will be empty apart from your welcome email unless you have used eBoks before. You can also register to receive other documents if you so wish. There is no need to register to receive your salary statement. This is done automatically. Inbox Click on your inbox to see if any new documents have been received. In the example shown below, the first salary statement has already been delivered to your e-Boks. Create folders You can create a separate folder in which to store your salary statements. Click on ”New folder”. Name the folder “Salary statements”. If you have already created any folders, you can choose to store your new folder in one of these. Move documents You can move your salary statement to the salary folder. Select the salary statement and click on the “Move” button. In the example shown below, the salary statement is in the process of being moved to the Salary folder, which has been created by the user. The example shown below illustrates that the salary statement has been moved to the Salary folder. You can at any time create new folders, moving your salary statements and other documents within your e-Boks in the way that best suits your requirements. Show document You can open a document either directly from the inbox or from one of your folders. Click on the document highlighted in light blue text: You must have Adobe Reader installed on your PC in order to view your salary statement. If you do not already have Adobe Reader you can find out more about downloading the programme at www.adobe.com or www.e-Boks.dk Shown below is the salary statement, opened with just one click. My registrations In the menu under ’My registrations’ you can see a list of the senders with which you are registered. If you log in before receiving your first salary statement, this will not be indicated on the page. After you have received your first salary statement it will be indicated in your registrations. If you have registered to receive other documents it will be indicated in the list. For each sender, you can select where to store documents and whether you wish to receive email notification when new documents are received. You can make these selections under ‘Preferences’. You can also choose to stop receiving documents from individual senders at any time. Please note that salary statements from the Danish Agency for Governmental Management (Økonomistyrelsen) will continue to be delivered to your e-Boks as long as you are employed by the state even if you have chosen to stop receiving them. Document description Each document type has an in-depth description which can be accessed by a single click, allowing you to find out more about the documents you can expect to receive. Below can be seen the Danish Agency for Governmental Management (Økonomistyrelsen) salary statement description. Preferences – folder storage and email notifications Clicking on ’Preferences’ for a sender or document type allows you to set the folders in which you wish to store your documents. Setting these preferences will make it possible for you to use AutoArchive from your inbox, which means that you can transfer documents to the folder of your choice with just one click of the mouse. This is also where you select whether or not you want email notifications when new documents have been received. As shown in the example below, the user has selected the folders in which documents will be stored, as well as email messages from all senders. You can change your selections at any time under ’My registrations’. Settings – My Profile You can make changes to your profile under ’Settings’. Here you can indicate the name to be displayed in your folder tree. You can also list up to two different email addresses to which you can have email notifications sent when new documents are delivered to your e-Boks. You can also give others (e.g. your spouse or partner) access to your e-Boks under ’Settings’.
