It contains information that explains the Seating products and features within the Canvas program. Seating ™ Reference Manual Once you click on the Seating tab, you will see a main component tab with products and options for Seating. This component tab is shown on the following page and provides an overview of what is included for the Seating product line. Products included are Improv, Lively, Very, X99, and Zody Chairs. Note: Not all of Haworth’s Seating product lines are included in Canvas. General Information for Canvas Seating Products Chairs brought into the drawing area default to the least expensive options. Make changes in the Gray Input or Green Edit Box to modify chair specifications. When bringing an upholstered chair into the drawing area, the material defaults to a Category 1 material. Seating ™ Reference Manual Improv® Series Chairs In the Improv Series Chairs section, you will find Seating products to fit different user needs, sizes, and styles. The Improv Series includes a variety of chairs and table products. Improv Series Chairs Tab Improv Series Chairs Canvas Button Product Name Description / How to Use Standard Chair These standard desk chairs are available with options for back height, arms, chair height adjustment, casters, and materials. Change to Improv Standard Chair Specification Tips: Arms: Choose from three Arm options: o None: No arms. o Normal: Loop arms. o Adjustable: 4" height adjustment at a 13° angle. Height Adjustment: Pull-down menu for height-adjustment options. Gray Input Boxes / Green Edit Boxes For Standard Chair Option Change icon: Change an existing chair in your Canvas drawing to a Standard Chair. Seating ™ Reference Manual Improv Series Chairs Canvas Button Product Name Description / How to Use Leg-Base Stacking Chair These leg-base chairs can be stacked or ganged. Tablets can be added to the left or right side. Change to Improv LegBase Stacking Chair Specification Tips: Cannot have Arms and a Tablet. When Dolly is specified, chairs can stack up to 10 high. If no dolly, chairs can stack up to 6 high. When you select Arms, you can choose the Caster option. Chairs come with glides unless otherwise specified. Tablets can be added to the left or right side. Specification Tips: Cannot have Arms and a Tablet. Sled-base chairs cannot be stacked. Stool Change to Improv Stool These stools have a heightadjustment range of 42" - 54". They are available with or without arms. Change icon: Change an existing chair in your Canvas drawing to a Stool. Tandem Table This table suspends between two Improv chairs or attaches to the end of an Improv chair in a tandem configuration. The table top diameter is 20". This saves time and creates consistency. The same can be done for Improv Side Chairs and Tables. In the Scheme Manager dialog box, select the Properties for this particular scheme (our example shows a client scheme for ABC Design). Specification Tips: Back Type: Choose from two options: o Tension: Fabric suspended between a frame. o Upholstered: Fully upholstered back with a slim foam pad. Arms: Choose from several Arm options: o None: No arms. o Fixed: Arms without any adjustment. o Height Adjustable: 4" height adjustment. o 4D: 4" height adjustment; 3" side-toside adjustment range; 3 ½" front-to-back adjustment range; and pivots 20° in, 20° out. Seating ™ Reference Manual Zody Materials In the Seating Materials section, you can select options, materials, and finishes for application to all or selected Zody seating products. This saves time and creates consistency. Schemes can be used and saved for: Specific clients and used for multiple installations Color/finish schemes Global changes Schemes – Zody Seating The following chart shows an example of a Scheme created for Zody chairs. Seating ™ Reference Manual Zody Materials Option Name Canvas Button Zody Office Chairs Description / How to Use Dialog Boxes This is an example of a Scheme for Zody Office Chairs. The same can be done for Zody Guest Chairs. In the Scheme Manager dialog box, select the Properties for this particular scheme (our example shows a client scheme for ABC Design). Seating ™ Reference Manual Functions In the Functions section, there are Canvas functions to make multiple changes easier, more efficient, and consistent within your Seating drawing. Functions Tab Seating Functions Product Name Canvas Button Description / How to Use Gray Input Boxes / Green Edit Boxes Remove Removes a Seating product from the Canvas drawing. No Input / Edit Boxes Copy a Chair to Another Takes an existing chair and replaces another chair. No Input / Edit Boxes To Copy a Chair: Click on the Copy icon. Click on the chair you want to copy. Click on an existing chair in the drawing and it changes it to match the one you copied. Seating ™ Reference Manual Chair Material In the Chair Material section, there are six chair choices (in a drop-down menu) and material options for each specified Seating product. You can use this Canvas option to set up specific materials to be used for all chairs within a given product line. An example is shown below for the Zody Chair. The Gray Input Box gives you choices for: Material for: Select the Seating product. Materials and Finishes: Make your selections for the chair materials and finishes. Selecting Materials and Finishes: Click on the ellipsis ( ) to get a list of materials, finishes, and colors. Use this to select or change the material and colors to be applied. You can use this Canvas option to set up specific materials and colors to be used for all table surfaces. The material options are shown below.
